This is a remarkable place to stay. You arrive by boat which takes you across the waterway with the farm spread out on the opposite bank. Greeted on arrival by the owner Anu and her children. The villas are excellent beautifully designed and very very comfortable ... even the wifi worked most of the time in the room. Separate lounge...

From the moment of booking this home stay, I felt confident that it was going to amazing. Anu's communication through email was great and very helpful. Then as soon as we got on the boat across the lake to Phillipkutty's farm, we felt like we had reached paradise. The cottages were beautifully decorated and gave us a lot of space...

gliding across the lake to Philipkutty's Farm and the gracious welcome of Anu (and her mother, her mother-in-law and an aunty), was one of the highlights of our gastronomy trip. We learnt to grind coconuts (sitting on a contraption on the floor - its hard work) and cooked the most wonderful Fish Moolie and other delights, then shared them with...

This family is a gem. Three generations were there to take care of us. We arrived by punt from the main land and from that moment on you were enveloped in their warm embrace. This is a great place to chill, learn to cook, chat with fellow guests, see the sunset, watch the Chinese fishing nets in action, wonderful bird...

Philipkutty's farm was one of the highlights for both me and my husband during our trip. You arrive in style(!), being picked up by a small punt across the river and Annu's family meet you on the other side. The buildings on the farm are well appointed and elegant - the room we had was at the end of the...

A Phillipkutty's Farm stay is exquisite in every way. The welcome and loving hospitality of Anu and Anniammi wraps around you like a silk sari, the delicious food feeds your soul as well as your stomach. It is an almost wickedly luxurious but equally natural experience - quite simply, it is Heaven on Earth. We found a little piece of...

Our 3-night stay was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our holiday in Southern India. Our first glimpse of this property, shimmering across the water, whilst awaiting the small boat which would ferry us over from the "Mainland", was memorable. Our accommodation really exceeded our expectations: a beautifully furnished twin room with excellent adjoining showerroom, plus a living room set...

Partner and I had a one night stay here in early January. It was an excellent experience on all counts. Welcoming hosts who genuinely care for their guests, large comfortable spotlessly clean rooms, delicious food, in a wonderful totally private and quiet location on an island in the backwaters of Kerala. Our time in Kerala was limited so we opted...

After a hectic week in Mumbai and a few days in Fort Kochi, Philipkutty was the perfect place to calm down and watch the backwater traffic pass by. We had the family villa which was perfect for our group of four. The fridge was perfect for our BYO tonics and beer. As has been said in previous reviews, the food...

Philpkutty's is a perfect drop-out from the noise and bustle of India. The food is extraordinarily good, the rooms beautifully furnished. Guests are made to feel a part of a family in a very special location, eating communal so that you can absorb the experiences of others. Wonderful.
