This is a long overdue review. I stayed at Jeen Wilson's Homestay sometime in February 2016 and was there for 2-3 days. I had a wonderful stay there with a friend. The place was cozy and comfortable, and the whole family was super nice. Highly recommend it if you are visiting the area. Thanks again!

I landed up in Jeen's homestay when the homestay I had booked declared that it was overbooked . Jeen accepted me graciously so I am really thankful .Since I met her I became a regular in her terrace-cafe . Food was delicious . It is a fact that Jeen just loves cooking .I presume her cooking classes must be fun too . In three days I had 3 different fish curries . The one with raw mangoes was the best .We will be remembering the non veg stew and appam for many Sundays now . Apart from the food, the family is friendly and they join the guests to play a game which is the numerical version of scrabble . If you are traveling alone and want a cosy evening with family ,you must consider visiting this place .

This great value homestay is clean, comfortable and in a great location for exploring Fort Kochi. It's easy to find from the bus into town, and also very close to restaurants/shops/theatre while still being on a quiet street. The bed was comfortable, and hardly any mosquitos in the room thanks to good window nets and her maintenance. Wifi was reliable throughout our four nights there. No hot water in the shower, but we certainly didn't miss it in the +32 degree heat! Linda was very helpful with tips, ticket booking, bus info, and anything else we needed. We even did a cooking class with Linda and Wilson to learn some Keralan dishes - delicious! Linda is also getting her cafe up and running on the premises. She is a wonderful cook, and her home-style food is very reasonably priced. Even if you're not saying, consider stopping by for breakfast or dinner on her little rooftop patio.

I stayed two weeks at Jeen Wilson’s Homestay and enjoyed two more weeks the delicious breakfast and occasional dinner there… while I had to stay somewhere else in the neighbourhood! The room I stayed in was nice, clean, bright and spacious. The location serves as a good base to explore Fort Cochin and to visit the highly recommended Kathakali Centre. The whole family is so lovely… each of them is very friendly, helpful and does everything to make their guests feel like home. Their hospitality and support in everything you need/request as well as value for money couldn’t be better! I would definitely stay again at this family home to enjoy the hospitality and warm-hearted atmosphere! I stayed at four different homestays in Fort Cochin, this is my favourite! Highly recommended!

Great place to stay. Lovely family who you will be able to get to know. We stayed 4 weeks and had a really great time.. The room was a good size with a good size bathroom. There is a mosquito net and a ceiling fan. The fan kept the room cool enough. From here you can easily get to town and into the beach. There are good eating places nearby which are very good and cheap. Great little barbers around the corner if you need one. Haircut and shave for just over a quid!!
