We were not staying at the hotel but visited the restaurant, The food was excellent, great ingredients and superbly cooked. Would recommend if your are staying in the area. They also have an alcohol license, if this is a requirement for you. Many restaurants in this area do not

As we pulled up to the hotel we could tell it was going to. E an excellent stay. Warm welcome. Fabulous room - huge. Although on the front of the hotel (Palace suite) there was absolutely no noise. Balcony to view all the activity going on. The food was impeccable. First hotel where we decided to try the seafood. No... More

The hotel was situated in the heart of Fort Cochin and handy for the theatre, fishing area, shops and restaurants. Friendly staff and a real colonial feel. The pool was a bonus. Our meals were good and the service was attentive. We would stay here again if travelling in Kerala.

A pretty hotel with a lovely garden and we were lucky enough to stay in Rose cottage.which overlooked the swimming pool.. The restaurant was excellent and there is live music each evening for a couple of hours which makes for a lovely atmosphere. We stayied when the crisis with the Rupes happened and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.A... More

located close to the sea, walking distance to several attractions, the hotel offers nice rooms, friendly staff and excellent food. The hotel has a small pool and dinners can be taken in the garden close to it.

We had been travelling for three weeks and had booked the 'Dreamz' room as a treat for our final night in India. The day before Old Harbour emailed asking if we wanted to be picked up, we responded to say yes and ask for 10am, gave our address and asked how much it would be. Old Harbour then didn't reply... The location of the hotel is excellent as it is in the heart of Fort Coichin and a lot is within walking distance. There is a pretty garden with outdoor seating which is great for lunch or dinner. The food is sublime - first class and a lot of choice. We were in the basic room for our first night... More

This was the longest stay we had in India - 5 nights and 4 days. Beautiful suite but no outside space, which was a downside for us. There is, however, a separate area to sit in which overlooks the road and market. As a result, this was also the noisest place we stayed in. If you prefer a quieter location,... More

Although Cochin now is very busy and a container port, this hotel does not have sea views and, therefore,is not troubled by unsightly views of huge cranes and ships. It is just back from the front,is well fitted out and has a delightful garden where we dined most evenings.Staff very attentive but respectful and menu and food both excellent. All rooms are good. The only... Understated elegance, comfortable, modern bathroom, beautiful wood flooring - the perfect oasis after our flight from London and me feeling decidedly unwell. Delicious food both for dinner & breakfast. 11 hours sleep and I felt much better & able to enjoy exploring the Fort Cochin area with a guide - so interesting which makes The Old Harbour Hotel perfectly situated.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the heart of ancient Fort Cochin, Kerala, a place that exudes history and culture, is the 'Old Harbour Hotel'. A 300 year- old building that has for long been a heritage monument of this town, now reopened as a boutique hotel. Built in the Dutch style of architecture with hints of Portuguese influences, it was the first hotel of old Cochin. Later it remained a residential home to employees of English Tea broking firms until it was left unused for a period of time. ... more   less
