Kids loved the pool and the guys at the restaurant esp Ragavan were SO accommodating and anxious to please. They bought us mounds of bacon at the kid's request and chocolate pancakes! Nothing was too much trouble. Kind courteous service and comfortable luxurious rooms. Easy access to all Fort Cochin. Evening meal was delicious and good value. Thanks to all...

We stayed at the Old Lighthouse Bristow Hotel for a weekend in Fort Kochi. The staff were nice, the hotel was very well located - but the rooms opened into a very public promenade. The staff and the hotel caters better to foreign tourists and tolerates us Indians! The food was a big disappointment - it was altered to suit...

This very charming hotel is located just on the edge of Fort Cochin. Delightful decor, fantastic views and very competent and charming members of staff. It has its own defaults (minor ones) which are totally compensated by its charm and it's very helpful staff. The food in the restaurant is excellent. While you are having breakfast you can watch the...

We booked to stay in this hotel for just a couple of nights but it was so excellent in all ways that we stayed for over 2 weeks. The staff were all delightful, very kind and thoughtful and could not do enough for us. They even booked us accommodation in Madurai and requested an upgrade which turned out to be...

This is a great little hotel, smart and efficiently run by a very friendly and helpful team of staff - the manager Rajesh is faultlessly friendly and went out of his way to make sure we had a pleasant and relaxing stay. The restaurant was a highlight - with delicious Keralan food served in a lovely environment. We stayed in...

In many ways this hotel deserved an average rating but it is well located and our room was one of the outside cottages directly looking at the sea where we were able to watch dolphins most days. Our room was good, we had a few problems with hot water and using a hairdryer tripped the electric but the bed was large...

We haven't stayed at this resort, we just used their restaurant and bar. Prices are cheap, and where ever you sit on this terrace restaurant you get a beautiful view of the ocean and sun set! Nice ambience, friendly staff, good prices.....,,

Stayed here for 2 days before flying to the Maldives All the staff were extremely kind and helpful, especially the night manager who welcomed me at 5.00 am. Full marks to the chef! Indian food delicious. Mixed biryani best ever. Only minor criticism was the scrambled eggs, where the recipe seemed to date from the years of the Empire... Watery...

The old lighthouse hotel is a great location overlooking the Arabian Sea in Fort Kochi. It sits above Fort Kochi beach - 5 minutes walk from St Stephens Basilica and the Chinese Fishing nets. The hotel has it's own secluded grounds to relax and the restaurant offers good food and very friendly staff.

After reading some of the negative reviews I was a little concerned about staying here but now I am glad that we did! It is true that the rooms are old and the plumbing is a little threadbare but it all worked and we didn't have any problems. The building is a gorgeous old bungalow situated right next to the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Chic luxury heritage boutique hotel in Fort Kochi. This is the latest treasure that has been created with great outdoor dining by the sea, one of the only spas that offers both western and traditional treatments in the area, and an infinity pool with great views of the sea and the English style garden. The indoor lounge is fantastic for a relaxing evening. The lighthouse bears witness to many a ship passing by and the ships that sail by seem to walk into the property. The hotel was the residence of the founder of Cochin port Sir Robert Bristow and has been receiving great reviews from all its guests. The hotel is a true sanctuary to relax and rediscover yourself. ... more   less
