Had a terrific stay here. Central location, clean hotel. But I accidentally left some belongings behind in the room. Reception said they would mail these to me if I wired them cash (USD 35) for postage to their personal account. I wired the cash, collecting written evidence from my bank that I had made the transfer. Despite this, the staff...

Dear Joseph, It is rather disappointing to note your comments. You have not made any advance payment for sending the Swimming shorts and hence advised to pay on. This is normal policy and there is no need to get upset about it. We are attaching your mail below to make the awareness about the incident. Joseph Noss Would you mind...

from start to finish (and we are still here and never reviewed anywhere whilst still staying!) the place is a gem. Staff are professional and not over bearing. They couple attentiveness with discretion. Ideally situated in Fort Kochi, everything is within reach although staying round the pool is a more than pleasant experience. Breakfast is superb, especially if taken in...

Super rooms, super food, and the best staff. We stayed here to finish off out holiday in Kerala and it was by far the best value for money, old colonial feel and very classy, reminded us both of the various Embassy and British Mission Accommodations we had stayed in over the years. Kids loved it, good pool and a great...

We loved our stay at the Tea Bungalow, which was our first hotel in India. The rooms are spacious and cool, providing an excellent escape from the heat of Kochi. It is within walking distance of historic Fort Cochin, and we even walked to Mattancherry from there (though we'd recommend a taxi or tuk-tuk after spending most of the morning...

This was our first hotel on arriving in Kerala after a long flight. Stayed for two nights in a very comfortable room, especially the bed and huge bathroom, I loved the outside element. Great location for exploring Fort Kochi, a very interesting place to visit. Breakfast good but evening meal far from exciting, however plenty of places to eat nearby....

Tea Bungalow. Stayed in the Galle room ( 208). Excellent location, facilities and amenities in Fort Cochin. Stayed here for two nights but could have stayed much longer. My A/C room was large and the bathroom, although non A/C hot a weeks worth of washing dry overnight. The staff couldn't have been more attentive or helpful and they make a...

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Tea Bungalow. Staff were very attentive and helpful. We found the food quite good if not a little limited and what arrived was not always what we ordered due to language difficulties but nevertheless the whole experience was a most enjoyable one.

My room was clean, a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size with an enormous shower area. The staff were helpful and willing. Good wi-fi access throughout. Great location for access to local amenities.

This was our base for a 1 night stay before moving to a house boat. Very friendly and welcoming staff with simple but delicious food are what made this hotel. The hotel is dry, which we didn't know about beforehand, but that was fine. Our room (Mauritius) was ok; it looked out onto the road outside the hotel and had...

Dempo Resorts and the historic Tea BungalowThe guiding force behind Tea Bungalow is Mr.Vivek Dempo founder of Dempo Resorts. The Dempo Family is one of the oldest families of Goa, who controlled the coconut trade from the 16th to the 19th Century. They also owned large cargo sailing ships which sailed from Goa to the African Ports of Portuguese colonies like Mozambique and Angola in the Indian Ocean. The restoration and decoration of Tea Bungalow has been a labour of love for Mr. Dempo. He has crafted an escape from the humdrum, noisy, soul-killing rush of everyday life. Tea Bungalow offers a tranquil place to step away for a while, to centre your thoughts and get the balance you need.Tea Bungalow occupies pride of place in the heart of the exclusive heritage area of Fort Cochin. The bungalow was built in 1912 and run as a workshop and office of a UK Company called United Carpets engaged in the manufacture and export of coir and spices. Brooke Bond the tea company bought the bungalow in 1956 and christened it Brooke Bond Bungalow which housed the top management of Brooke Bond & Company.
