I never stay in the city is when I am travelling. This was the first time I opted to stay in a hostel when I was travelling to Bangalore for the first time. I was very much sceptical about this but after spending just one night at this amazing place I did realise it was not a bad decision. This is one of the most happening hostels in the heart of Banglore city. I met really amazing folks and be friend with amazing people. We are planning to come to Bangalore and cannot find a place to stay this is one fine place I would suggest to anyone and just after spending some time you would be easily be able to figure out what all you can do while in Bangalore.
Stayed here after watching rave reviews on a local app. Moved there to after construkt start-up hostel and was immediately greeted by the most crazy stray dogs and had to be escorted by the owners girlfriend. Had a look at the rooms and they were a mess . No ac , one pedestal fan . I already made a booking for 3 nights based on the reviews so I said what the neck and moved in . The lounge was a mess too. More like a crack den . Met the owner Rajat. Seemed friendly at first but kept on prancing behind his "girlfriend" like a lost puppy dog who incidentally hit on me on 3 occasions and took me to her place where she worked ( some cool music shop where they had live gigs). Anyway the first night was uneventful besides the bed bugs. The second night was kind of mad because I saw the dogs were quite territorial because some crazy woman was feeding them leftovers in the night in plates . If she loved them so much , can't she put them up in her huge bungalow. Those dogs are a nuisance . They dont let you in and out . Saw them attack a passer by in the night . Rajat and his "girkfriend" said they have to get used to me . The cook has been there 2 weeks and he gets attacked regularly. I asked Rajat if I could cancel my stay and he graciously refunded the rest of the amount . No more koramangala for me from now on . …

Would recommend this place to everyone who visits Bangalore. I saw people staying in Bangalore also regularly stop by for events and generally just to have a good time. People managing Cuckoo hostel are doing a great job by keeping a feel of community alive. While I was there I got to meet some awesome people from different parts of the world. There was yummy food, music and movie nights.. They hold interesting workshops too..
