It's like staying in a very nice tree house. The view is amazing and so is the hospitality. It's not unusual to chat with the owner and his family. It's also within walking distance to town and to beach. Very affordable but feels luxurious.

A nice very clean hotel. Very well maintained. It is siting on a hill away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Has wonderful views of the ocean and the city. However, do expect to climb up quite a few steps to the hotel. We took the taxi from the bus stop for about $2.5. The restaurant has good...

Stayed at Hotel Maya Vista for a few nights before departing for a small side trip to one of the neighboring Garifuna communities a few miles away. Pierre, the owner, is a very friendly and accommodating host. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area too. Though the hotel is situated on a hilltop- reached via a side street about 3...

Stayed at the Maya Vista a few months back for the first time. Absolutely great location and very friendly people. We stayed for two days while being in town for a wedding, and it was just wonderful. Would stay here anytime again!

Spent a long weekend there, the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great, it's about 2 blocks from the beach. It's on a hill so you have a GREAT view of Tela and the ocean, it also means some steps. Air conditioning worked, hot water worked, no complaints. My wife and I were very happy there.

I've been living in Honduras for the past 3 years and have gone to Maya Vista several times each year. The food is generally very good, the views and the atmosphere are wonderful as well. However, each and every time I've gone, there has been one problem or another. Most recently, the key of our room broke off into the...

Maya Vista is the only hotel located on the only hill in Tela. It offers amazing views and unique architecture. The price is certainly right and the restaurant serves great food. Daniel and Pierre were extremely helpful is providing information on what to see in Tela. The room was fine, but in need of some minor repair. They are currently...

While Tela is a hot, busy town with a somewhat seedy underbelly, the views from the various porches at Maya Vista make it seem peaceful and serene. Set atop the only hill in the city, this hotel offers 360 views (from the white sand beaches of the Caribbean to the distant inland mountains of Honduras). While this place is by...

Perched on a hillside, all rooms have sweeping views of the town and the Caribbean Sea. Check-in was fast and easy, we stayed for 3 nights at $50 per night. Nice-sized double room with double and single bed, tv and wi-fi. The restaurant was also very good and has great views. We stayed on the top floor and it is...
