We booked 2 rooms here for a night before our cruise from Bayonne. It seemed harmless enough at first. I will say the check in staff was very nice. The hotel was extremely loud, and the walls were very thin. Our entire floor reeked of weed. I was woken up by the ants parading across my headboard, pillow and nightstand (pictures attached). My wife went down for "breakfast" which was mostly prepackaged foods, and after opening her third moldy bagel (picture attached) she gave up and skipped breakfast. My daughter went to use the shower in the am, but first I had to clean out hair and the used soap from the previous guest. This hotel is certainly not up to Marriott standards, I was very disappointed. I reached out to the hotel and Marriott several times, and never got any response other than "we'll get back to you soon". They clearly don't care about this hotel or its customers.…
Stayed here for Memorial Day weekend, the website said pool, the pool is out of service! We came mainly for the indoor pool for the kids, thank you for disappointment. Also breakfast was served out of paper bags with 1 tiny bagel and cream cheese, felt like I was in kindergarten. The hotel saves money not serving real breakfast and please dont use Covid as an excuse
My visit was horrible. The air conditioning was DAMP. The linen on the bed felt moist and cold. A very unpleasant experience and I missed my bed. This was a one night event because of the tropical storm and my lights were out. The hotel assured me the air conditioning worked. The it was the worst air condition I ever felt. It took me more than an hour to even sit down .
The best word for this Fairfield is underwhelming. I’m okay with it being cookie-cutter, but this goes a step further with unappealing, cold and soulless. Breakfast simply wasn’t, just empty bins. We picked it and paid more expecting a lot more from a Marriott flag.
Not a five star property but a decent place to stay if you have to in the area. Better than most and cheaper than the 20 miles north as you get closer to NYC, the property is easy to get to right on Route 1 and has free parking. The staff is super friendly and nice, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is nothing spectacular but better than going out to a diner and it is complimentary. They have a small pool inside which is nice for kids and the room I was in had a coffee maker and a safe. If you are in the area and have to spend the night, it is a decent place to stay.
Probably a 3.5 star place, but I’ll round up. It’s very clean, the rooms appear to have been refurbished, there’s plenty of hot water and pressure, and the beds were fine. Usual free breakfast stuff, well stocked and tidy. The make your own waffle crowd will love the strawberry batter. On the minus side, while the heater worked it was extremely loud whenever it kicked on. And while the place was empty when we stayed, it’s evident that when it’s full the limited number of parking spaces is a problem. Also, there’s a fair bit of road noise, though the heater drowned it out. Nothing to walk to. Main Street in Woodbridge has several nice restaurants, about 10 minutes away. Overall, fine for $89.
The hotel was clean and quiet. It took just seconds to register because we used the Marriott app to check in. Our room was ready by 230pm and the room offered 2 TVs and plenty of space. The price was very reasonable too. We used the fitness room and pool.
The entire staff were VERY welcoming when our flight was cancelled and VERY last minute. They all made sure we had everything we needed since our luggage was still at the airport. I am NOT sure why anyone would want to stay anywhere else? The management is very accommodating and friendly.
This is the hotel we usually choose when visiting family in the area. Usually we can always get an upgrade due to our level of aasociation with Marriott but in this case it wasn't possible. While the hotel is in a busy area we didn't really have an issue with the outside noise but the room A/C was very noisey. The breakdast area is adequate but I would have liked to see more healthy choices and the eggs were just barely warm. Our room itself was very clean. Would have been nice if both elevators were in service as the wait could be fairly long at times. During our stay we only ever saw one in service.
I am a Marriott Titanium Elite member so I stay in Hotels for work most weeks. I decided to bring my family with me during this work week. I cant say enough about the team at this hotel. They were very welcoming to all our needs. Kept breakfast open a little longer for my family to come down after I went to work one day. Very gracious with parking when there was no parking available. I will only stay at this hotel whenever coming to the area. Thank you to the entire hotel staff.
