Been there for two nights with the wife and two little kids. Very nice curved beach, surrounded by beautiful hills. All is help yourself. You can even cook for yourself. They serve dinner too which is the only meal they provide(optional). There is a minimum charge for your bought food per day. Whatever you take you write it yourself on...

This place is beautiful in so many ways. The Bedouine, the snorkelling on incredible reefs, the food and the atmosphere...amazing. In a different world, I would rate this much higher! We stayed for 4 nights in a chalet which was very comfortable and cool. Definitely the way to go as the beach huts looked a little nightmarish and toilets were...

We went on the 20th of May and the weather was great; slightly windy with the perfect Egyptian sun to tan. Their bakery is great! Staff is friendly. Prices are okay. For public transportation, ask about the East Delta Bus, it costs 90EGP one way.

I visited Basata with my friends and I love their idea of having a kitchen where you help yourself and write it on the piece of paper, although if you want to have warm dinners, you can order it. Everybody minds their own business there. We met manager Ashraf who was very nice. The bathrooms and toilets were absolutely spotless....

The huts are entirely made of bamboo and wicker which is wonderful and environmentally friendly. The other part is the chalets, which are pretty simple actually with relaxing and calming lighting and...

I have known BASATA for almost 25 years and probably have been here 15 times if not more. It is our favorite holiday spot ever ,, this is the place to disconnect from any sort of stress and daily professional life. The sea is crystal clear and gives you an amazing snorkeling experience like a huge life aquarium. There is...
