I stayed here the first open weekend of this season while attending a woman's retreat in Avalon. Excellent proprietors- very accommodating and the location is ideal. Highly recommend it- in fact I plan to make this my annual retreat haven!

Barb and Ed are so hospitable, Barb cant do enough and Ed has many funny stories. they both make you feel at home yet respect your privacy. Renovations on top floors this past year are great. The B&B is quaint and historic. only a block from the beach!

This is the 3rd year that my teen daughters & I come here for Mother's Day weekend and we wouldn't have it any other way. The rooms are quaint and so cozy. We love the Artist Loft the most. It's a short stroll to the beach, restaurants & shops. We look forward to breakfast which is always amazing. The owners,...

Our son and his wife bought us a getaway at this wonderful B & B for a gift as they knew we needed a rest in the middle of getting ready to move from our home of 33 years, to an apartment. Since the beach is our "happy place" we looked forward to our 2 nights. Barb and Ed were...

Ive have stayed here several times. It's very reasonably priced and a great location! An easy walk to beach, restaurants and shoppes. It has recently been renovated and I stayed in a newly done room. Very nice and comfortable. The new owners are great and very accommodating. Morning coffee and breakfast sitting on the big porch is awesome! Lovely place...

This place has wonderful breakfasts, good A/C for hot days, and is a great location, near the beach (and has requisite outdoor shower, etc.). It has potential, but unfortunately, right now, it is not living up to it. The price is too high for the condition of the room we were in. The place needs a deep cleaning. Some of...

We're sorry it's taken so long to respond to your review. We have just started going over the Trip Advisor site. We have taken your problems seriously, and made some changes. The futons were horrible, and will be replaced by the summer. We also have had groups rent, and go right to their rooms without a thought as to who...

I'd probably say between a 2 and a 3. We stayed over 4th of July weekend and to celebrate my birthday in one of the loft apartments (#7) and my sister-in-law and brother-in-law stayed on the second floor in Room #5. Our 2 adult daughters came on different nights to stay with us. PROS: Great Location—2 short blocks from the...

the idea that owners do not use common room is odd and not sit on the porch is strange. this is our home the up charge per person is $15 this covers a full breakfast towels and linens the price does not even cover the cost we are replacing the futons

We stayed in room #1 which had it's own exterior door for private access. Very nice. We loved the room especially the sitting area and mini-refrigerator. Couldn't figure out how to turn on the overhead light. Barbara and Ed were extremely friendly host and hostess. Very nice breakfast as well, especially the wonderful fresh fruit and a lemon/almond coffee cake...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Lovely turn of the century building. Tastefully decorated. Daily breakfast buffet with hot and cold dishes. We are new owners and very enthusiastic about our new venture. We are making some improvements, but hoping to preserve the charm of this old house. All rooms are air-conditioned and heated. We are open year round. We are one block from the beach, and one block from the stores and restaurants of Avalon. ... more   less

“Room 2 is spacious and the whirlpool tub is great. It also gets beautiful light in the morning. We usually stay in either room 2 or room 5. There's a top floor loft apartment with a tiny kitchenette, that room is popular as well and I believe has an ocean view.”
