The Galapagos Pearl is a charming bed and breakfast retreat in a quiet, residential neighborhood in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island. It is located one and a half blocks away from Charles Darwin Avenue, the main tourist street of downtown. It is a convenient walking distance from the heart of town and a block and a half away from the sea. It offers a peaceful ambiance and is surrounded by lush, native Galapaganian gardens. The hotel itself is Eco-friendly using recycled rubber for roofing, biodegradable soap and shampoo, and biodegradable cleaning products. We also take pride in keeping a green existence by recycling and composting.
This is a simple, family owned and operated B&B that serves excellent breakfasts -- the best we had in the Galapagos. Most of the rooms are very simple, but one room has a balcony with water view - room #8. Well worth it. The B&B...More
Very friendly hostesses and incredibly accommodating. Spacious rooms with air conditioning and WiFi. Comfortable beds. Clean but very simple. They even got up earlier to make us breakfast to go on early start days. Would definitely stay here again.
I have nothing against this place but if you have a couple more dollars to spare, stay at a different location. We had a very different experience at a 3 star hotel in Isabela. I didnt feel I was getting my money’s worth at this...More

Rooms are very simple, make sure you bring all you need.
From the moment we arrived Yolanda and Shirley made us feel welcome and went out of their way to provide exceptional service. The place is situated in a quiet spot and it’s charming and clean. Lots of vegetation, two swimming pools, and they accommodated early...More

The Galapagos Pearl arranged a driver to meet my husband and myself at the airport and facilitate our trip via bus-ferry-taxi to the hotel. It cost $49 which we paid to the hotel. Since we had a 27 hour trip prior to our arrival, I knew I would be too brain dead to do this on our own. Their driver, Ivan, also was very informative during the trip. We emailed the hotel to set this up ahead of time. Good luck!

Room #7 was nice, it was one of the bigger ones on the top floor, and it had a side room that looked like a yoga studio. The only downfall is there is no elevator, but the stairs are pretty easy to climb. Room #8 would be the best room in my opinion if that is what you are looking for.
