To answer your questions: 1. You didn't specify your destination from Baltra Airport. If you want to go to Santa Cruz, you would need to go from Baltra Airport to the port, then take a short water taxi, then another transfer to your destination in Santa Cruz. Generally, I would try a few ways: a, ask your hotel to either book for you or a refer a company it uses, b, on line search for taxi company in Baltra, c, there is bus going to Baltra Airport regularly (every 30 min? ) taking people to the port to take water taxi to Santa Cruz. But you still need to arrange a transfer from the port to your destination. 2. There are travel agents on the main street in Santa Cruz and you can book tours to other islands. Depending on your time, you can go close by islands like North Seymore or Plaza Islands. I have been to both, my recommendation is NS first since you see more wildlife than PI. 3. I always book tours before I arrive so that I don't waste travel time and I can arrange everything like transfer, etc. If you have a lot of time, then shopping for tours can be fun as well. I was on a 8 day cruise in the Galapagos first and then stayed on Santa Cruz to dive and went to South Plaza Island. There are other places to visit on Santa Cruz and they are easy enough to get to, you can ask the hotel for travel info as well. 4. I'm sure you can. You can check my answer to 1a and 1b. Taxi in the town of Santa Cruz is very cheap, like $1.5. But if you go outside the town, it will be expensive. Have fun. It is amazing place. The hotel is very relaxing as well. You can go to the top floor and enjoy the view.
