We stayed for 3 nights in July 2015. The accommodation, food (apart from a slight, uncharacteristic glitch on the third night) and idea are excellent. Katrien is a professional and friendly host. The bread - home baked - was voted by the family as possibly the best we have had. Cocktails, the Lodge and the service were also highlights. The...

Dear Chris- Thank you for your contribution. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. If I remember correctly, you did not have any "activities" or excursions planned with us on arrival after disembarking your cruise, but we were able to provide last minute solutions for you when you expressed interest in being more active. Some get...

Our second stop in our Ecuadorian adventure. We chose the safari lodge as I don't enjoy boat travel very much. Plus it offered very similar accommodation to our African safari's After a relatively short flight from Quito we landed on the island of Baltra then a short drive & ferry crossing to Santa Cruz. From there we were met by...

Dear Nette- Thank you for your very descriptive review on your stay. We appreciate it. Yes, the tents will almost double in size in September and add sliding glass doors, ceiling fans, remodeled bathrooms, etc. We are really excited about the changes we are about to make. Again, thank you for your contribution to the TripAdvisor community.

We stayed at the Safari Camp for 3 nights after a three night cruise. It was a really nice change being in the highlands and the lodge and our tent had a great outlook over the island and sea and distant islands. The tents are comfortable - beds are a little firm but the staff are happy to add a...

Dear Go55- Thank you for your kind feedback. We love the enthusiasm. We do know how wonderful our Katrien is and also our chef Wilson was very proud to hear your comments. Combining a short cruise with a stay at Galapagos Safari Camp is such a wonderful way to see a different side to the islands and to not allow...

My wife and I took our 3 kids on a trip to the Galápagos Islands and had to decide between going on a cruise or staying on land and doing daily excursions. Because of a number of reasons, including having sons that are 6'7" and 6'8", we decided that the ship idea wouldn't be the best. We are glad we...

Dear Evan- You win the award for the tallest family we have ever hosted! We are flattered that you enjoyed the food so much that you would put it on par with a nice NYC restaurant. If you keep this kind of talk up, we might loose our chef! However, we agree Wilson is fantastic and he does a great...

We decided to make day trips out to explore the Galapagos. This hotel was one of the best reviewed and unique kind of stay which is why we decided to spend our time in the Galapagos here. Since your room is a tent there is not much luxury (to me at least) as others mentioned. The bed was comfortable, I...

Dear guest, We thank you for your review and are thrilled to hear you were satisfied with our service and food. Our team is dedicated to creating memorable experiences preempting our guest's needs. In September we are fully renovating our tents and adding an extension which will make them roomier and will add a lighter feel to them. Being the...

We stayed at the Galapagos Safari Camp for 4 nights in April this year and wish we would have stayed there the entire time in Galapagos. The setting is beautiful, peaceful and quiet, relaxing and the staff led by Katrien is courteous and catered to our every whim. They took care of our every need from first aid, travel plans,...

The Camp is a delight situated privately in the hills, The tents were luxury (similiar to our African experiences) The FOOD was absolutely the best, fresh and prepared by the staff. This is a fantastic option for those who wish to explore Galapagos through day-trips instead of a cruise. My wife and I don't do well on boats cause of sea sickness so this resort was ideal. We also like the freedom to plan and move about as we wished which we would not have had as much on a boat....

We spent two nights here; one before our cruise when travelling in a Group with Inca travel and one as independent travellers the night after our cruise. Galapagos Safari Camp brings the African-style luxury safari experience to The Enchanted Islands and leaves its guests fulfilled in more ways than one. The nine spacious tents are very comfortable, with a welcoming veranda, wooden floors, firm but comfortable beds and full-size baths -- including flush toilets and hot showers.
