Impressed that the Cactus Hotel had wifi in every room. Friendly staff and clean rooms. A few streets back from most restaurants and shops. However, the construction at the hotel, aswell as next door made the hotel very noisy during the day.

Basic accomodation - appears clean but air con in Room 24 is extremely noisey. Good water pressure and hot temperature. A wee walk to the waterfront - 15 minutes. Wifi was ok. Breakfast is very basic but includes a very small portion of eggs, some bread, tea or coffee. Reception is not always manned but helpful when he was there....

I stayed here as part of a tour group. The owner is very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, the bathroom was showing signs of wear. The room had air condition, but the unit is very noisy. The location is close to several mini markets, but several blocks from the main strip and port. Taxis from place to place...

Stayed here for 4 nights with my boyfriend and had a double room (think it was room 4) and it was gorgeous. The hostel itself is set back from the main port area, it's maybe a 5 minute walk. This just means that it's nice and quiet, minus the roosters! The rooms are lovely. Spacious and clean and nicely furnished....

When we booked the room it seemed a good choice, but when we arrived was a different story. First, it was late afternoon. After waiting for the receptionist to show-up (it took some time for her to realize that we had booked the room), she showed us two rooms. We chose one at the end of the building because it...

We stayed at this hotel in early January 2013 for 3 nights. The rooms though very dated, it had the very basic of necessities. The owner was on site, was friendly and provided a delicious and varied breakfast each morning. Wi-fi in the lobby was always available. Close to walk to the downtown area, close to clinic and drugstore. All...

The room was hot. We were placed on the second floor and the air conditioner had no chance of keeping up. The bathroom was pretty gross with no air conditioning. Windows wouldn't close all of the way so the heat kept coming in. On a positive note, it did have hit and miss Wi-Fi.
