Felt like because we didn’t have a “Players Card” we were treated like second class citizens. Started with the valet and then the FOREVER long walk from the garage to registration the whole way through the place! I had Booked our room 2 months ahead and finally get to registration and they proceed to tell me that they don’t have any of those rooms left in that tower but they had other rooms. Was “upgraded” to another tower for the type of room I had requested…we had a lovely view of the parking garage (pretty sure I booked an ocean view) get to this “upgrade” and you can tell the vacuum wasn’t run, there was no comforter on the bed it was literally a blanket between 2 flat sheets! Poor service, dirty room and the longest walk ever trying to carry all of the luggage plus a laptop means I will not be wasting any more of my money at the Tropicana in Atlantic City

TIP: Google "Tropicana Casino NJ property map. Print out and take with you. TIP! Based on the reviews we booked the North Tower. We were very pleased with our choice! Very modern and clean room. Huge spa-like shower. Excellent location to access everything right off the North Tower elevators.. Just take the elevator down to the casino floor. Get off elevator and walk straight in to casino you will see signs for everything (The Quarters for shopping, Starbucks, restaurants as well as the Marketplace (for quick food) It is also easy to get to the Boardwalk as well from the casino floor off this elevator.. (Enter the casino, take an immediate right, walk 1 min til you see the escalator. Take it down (follow All in all, VERY pleased with North Tower for cleanliness, location, ease of getting around. As for parking: We parked in the Havana parking garage. Yes, they charge you $10 (for us for 2 days) but...when you check in you get a little slip for $5.00 off. Just bring w/you when you leave. As for check-in: Tips!!! Park in Havana parking garage. Get on garage elevator, get off elevator and head to the kiosks to check in (There are 6 kiosks in Havana lobby) 7 min in line. Do your check in there. (Our room in North Tower wasn't ready but....We began the process by checking in there. They send an email when room is ready. This was for a 4:05pm check in so the busy time) We then made our way down the escalator into Quarters (by Starbucks) then escalator #2 (follow the Palms sign) the out the door to the sidewalk (There might be a different way but this is the one we took) Out the door and take a right. At the 4-way intersection take a left (follow Valet Parking signs) You will then take a right to the South Tower as you will need to get your keys there, North doesn't have lobby/kiosks. The whole walk from Havana Tower to South took 3 mins. Now since you already did your registration attempt at Havana Tower when you got off Parking garage elevator, you should have your email confirmation saying your room is ready! Get in line at the kiosk (Yes, South Tower has front desk staff....3 working at 4pm check in) and yes, only 2 kiosks but the line for the kiosk was only about a 10 min wait and using the kiosk to finish checking in is SIMPLE! Get drivers license and email ready. When it's your turn, scan barcode from email and stick license in slot. Answer a few questions and voila!! TIP!!! Look at your paperwork you got with your key! Directions to your room is on there! Read it! I hope these tips help. TIP! If you need help go talk to the Bell Captians. Ask for Dan! Super nice guy! (At South Tower) As for The Trop.....We will stay there again. Either the North or South Tower.

Pros: Renovated room in South Tower was great. Enjoyed the ocean view. Liked the Gastropub. Cons: Classic rooms look dated and dingy. Check-in was a cluster... Check in by machine would not work because my credit card used to guarantee the room also had my middle name and my Caesar's account did not. Seems stupid to me. Manual check in line was 30 minutes when I checked in. A friend said it took her 45 minutes. Parking garage was awful: Had to wait at least ten minutes in line for elevator in parking garage each time I wanted my car. Cars were overloaded for covid times. You physically can't walk via stairs. Moving between parking levels is difficult and counter intuitive. Generally the parking garage is poorly maintained and looks awful. I will not be back because of the check-in and the garage.

Friend of mine and I decided to stay at the Tropicana for a Fun Sat in AC. Check in isn't till 4pm. Which we waiting and parked in the self parking, then found check in which was computer monitors to check yourself in. It was four on the dot and the machine told us the room wasn't ready, and enter an email address which will let us know when its ready. We waiting for a half hour and received no email. Then decided to wait on line again. An older gentleman was helping out people and basically told us to go to the main lobby, which we waiting almost a half hour, that's how long the line was to check in. Once checked in and received our room, which had awesome views, we were behind the elevators and heard the constant banging of the machines. Check out was at 11, which was no problem. The problem was the damn elevators. Waiting over a half hour to get an elevator and I was not going to go down 47 flights on the steps. Every elevator was packed. Once we finally got on had to wait in another line to get the elevator for the parking garage. Just insane!

This was our 1st time to Tropicana. When we arrived check in was very confusing, the valet told us to drive 2 blocks away and park in garage. We lugged our luggage to the elevator. 7 elevators came and each one was packed with people so we headed down 10 flights of stairs and ended up in a hallway that didn’t seem to lead anywhere. Finally found a door that led us outside. (No signs anywhere in garage to guide you to hotel). Proceeded to drag our luggage 2 more blocks to check in. Stood in line for 25 minutes. With all the confusion with the parking and check in we were 35 minutes late for dinner reservation. We found our room pretty easy and we headed out to try and find the restaurant on premise and ran into a general manager named Jackie who was super helpful and friendly. The room and the rest of the night was nice. But then we had to check out and again not enough signs in hotel to guide you where to go to find our car! Proceeded to walk around the block again with luggage to try and find our car and a way into the parking garage. It seems like they don’t want you to find car. I DO not recommend bringing heavy luggage/duffle bag because you have to carry it which felt like miles!!!
