For my first time in Atlantic City and for what i paid for my room, i at least thought i would get a great room. At least a room with a city view. I got a room on the 4th floor with a window looking inside the casino. All is see is a gigantic 1000 inch hashitashi tv and all i hear is the music playing on the casino floor. Not to mention the room carpet felt like having on a pair of wet socks, and no microwave to heat up these left overs i paid an arm and a leg for. I'll probably make my Atlantic City visits day trips being that it was my first time here and it was just not that great.

So hard to find anything, exit, fro t desk, parking, the didn’t inform us at the check in that we need reservations in order to enter the indoor pool and the sour door pool were closed but no one inform us about that and the pools was one of the main reason we choose this hotel. Definitely I’m not coming back. And to make it worse the fridge didn’t work properly the door did not close and it was missing parts I had to get ice in order to keep my drinks cold.

Well I won $.28 on the slots. They were not paying me this weekend at all. The tables were doing good, just not my table...lol. The room was amazing and the staff from the front desk checkin to the clean team were friendly, attentive and very helpful. Had a great time with friends tho!

Arrived late Friday night. Contacted hotel for 2 days to ask if valet was open (it was) but no one answered my message so we self parked. Finally found a spot on level 6 after driving around. Checked in and went up to floor 57 in Havana towers. Apparently you can’t smoke cigarettes but you can smoke pot because the entire floor smelled of it. The back of toilet was dirty and the room didn’t look like it was sanitized. Went out for a little bit but needed to go outside onto boardwalk to have a cigarette. 2 homeless people were sleeping in the lobby by Hooters. Once outside I was asked either for cigarettes or for money. Came down late at night and still homeless sleeping in lobby. Got up and walked boardwalk and all the areas where they have canopy or bench area had a lot of homeless sleeping outside. Went up to room to take a shower and went to dry my hair. Blow dryer became so hot I turned off and also because it did not sound right. Outlet was black. I asked housekeeping for another dryer was told I needed to go to lobby. The lines for check in and check out are awful so I wasn’t going to do that. Spent 600 for 2 nights and a Motel 8 would of probably been better. What will Tropicana do? They will say sorry we didn’t meet your expectations and say sorry sucker. Really look at the reviews they never offer a return trip or a credit. Stay somewhere else and if you get room 5727 at Havana towers watch the blow dryer.

It brings me great disgust to see yet another Atlantic City hotel crumble to the ground. Taj Mahal, Trump Plaza, Claridge, Sands, Showboat, GONE. Bally's is circling the drain, waiting for demolishment along with the bed bugs and cockroaches that stay there (the only living organisms that will stay there, by the way). And now Tropicana. Look at the recent reviews on TripAdvisor, Yelp, Google. The rooms aren't being cleaned properly. There are cockroaches and bed bugs everywhere. The lines at check-in are long. The lines for elevators to get to the parking garage are long and crowded. Navigating the self-park garage is a disaster in general. The food prices are prohibitively expensive and many of the eateries (including Starbucks) are closing early each day. Nothing about this place is fun and inviting anymore. This is exactly what happened to those other casinos. Poor management and lack of attention to detail will eventually guarantee the inevitable result for this hotel as well. What is going on in Atlantic City? Why can't these casinos find competent executive management teams to run them properly? It is not hyperbole when I say there are motels on White Horse Pike in Absecon cleaner than this hotel. When you add up the multiple inconveniences and problems with physically staying in the hotel it begins to outweigh the inconvenience of driving to the casino to gamble while staying at an Absecon hotel just 5-8 miles away. Plus you are surrounded by many fairly priced restaurants near those motels as well. I just don't understand how the same outcome can keep playing out with one hotel after another. Let me make it official: Bally's and Tropicana are the next Atlantic City hotels to be added to the endangered species list :(
