Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The location of the Resort itself and the view of its unit is top notch among other resorts in the area. It is in the middle of the busiest section of the boardwalk. The view from the unit face right at the Atlantic Ocean. The elevator is slow and the resort always block (disable) 2 of 3 elevators for guest which making the situation much worse. I found out other two units were disabled/reserved because right the middle one is full and left, I pressed the button to call for next elevator and the other 2 would not move from its stationed position and I have to wait the middle one to come back after dropping off its last load. Avoid rush hour (checkin and checkout), the wait is brutal (15mins+) wait time is normal. The laundry machines now require a cellphone app to pay rather than just using coins. I did not bother. It is bad enough to charge for using laundry machine with a $400 resort fee charged for each stay.

- Pulling into the street the hotel is located on and saw a lot of addicts sleeping and standing around hotel entrance area. - Parking garage is small, and smells like it's used as a bathroom for the homeless. Smells even worse first thing in the morning when its hosed down - odor is 2x as strong. - Check in was a nightmare. Line was out the door. Complete chaos in a small area for everyone checking out/in. - Only two working elevators that is used by entire hotel and staff. Besides the elevators moving incredibly slow, the staff took up most space with luggage/housekeeping carts. - Staff is very rude. Check in staff was amazing (funny how that works) but every other week day, unprofessional staff members were at the desk. Our door keycard kept deactivating (even when kept in multiple areas around no other items) and they would continue to send us with broken keycards. One night I went to the lobby 4 times in a row before the reactivated card worked. - Very dirty rooms. I took a photo of the dust on the tables at arrival, and also the air filters. The air filters look like they havent been changed in years. I do not recommend if you have any allergies. - Bathroom was embarrassingly out dated. It was an old stained jacuzzi tub with a shower. It smelled like mildew. I hated the thought of my kids in that shower barefoot, that was how disgusting an old this tub looked. - Only two towels in the bathroom even though we reserved and check in 4 guests. - The beach actually has homeless in tents living on the beach. Couldnt even relax on the beach in fear of tent city. - Cops are non existent. We didnt see one cop on the boardwalk the entire stay. - The boardwalk smells like weed 24/7/. Drug dealers zip by on their bikes. We went on the beach 1 night, and 1 night only and my husband an I legitimately feared for our safety (and I am hispanic and lived in the city - I generally do not fear these kinds of locations) - WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE OR IN AC AGAIN!

Resort is at a very convenient location and the staff are friendly. I had a unit with an excellent view. The unit is also spacious as a 1 br unit. Linens are aged and don't look clean. Minor issues with kitchenette - no range top light, limited utensils and cookware. Bathroom is the strangest setup. A big jacuzzi tub with a shower head but no button for jacuzzi function and the shower head above is not usable. Separate shower is tiny. I am a small person and still found it difficult to move around inside; not sure how a big buy will feel. Parking lot is tight. Hard to maneuver when meet another car from opposite direction,

Locatiaon was great on the boardwalk. View from 8th floor very nice. As with most older places, could use some updating with Decor/finishes, ie bathroom etc but amenities in kitchen and property including covered parking were great.

After reading reviews with some negative responses I still booked a stay with Atlantic Palace and was very pleased with my stay. My room was a very well appointed studio suite with a nice view of the boardwalk and ocean. The staff was very accommodating and took care of any concerns in a timely fashion. I would recommend this resort based on my expectations of good service and wonderful accommodations.

My wife and I stayed here for a week in August on an RCI timeshare exchange. Here is my honest review.. Check in: pretty smooth overall once we were inside the building, parking is a hassle in a VERY tight garage and there is no elevator so all your belongings that you want to move from or to your vehicle once parked must be walked down multiple levels in the garage The woman who checked us in was pleasant but nobody else was who worked here was except the bellboy, the room was clean ,but very small and had a great view ,the bed was not too bad and we slept decently ,overall not a bad stay , the boardwalk at night here is scary though as out of control motorized biking punks zoom up and down the boardwalk weaving in and out of people walking even though it's illegal to do so, the police here are basically non-existent as in any liberal city where they let outlaws police themselves it seems, I wonder what would happen if there were an act of violence as we hardly saw anyone who could come to your defense if needed. take note: none of the boardwalk issues are the fault of the hotel , but if you are planning to bring a young family here you might want to reconsider unless you want them smelling dope everywhere and listening to very loud rap music while dodging fast moving motorized cycles , it's more appropriate for desensitized ,tough skinned adults who will put up with it. It's a shame that the mayor and those responsible have allowed AC to slip over the years as they have.

Never replaced soap. Did not replace towels after calling, had to call several times. Left unit door open two days!!! Did not clean room the entire week, even after request. When called an complained to front desk said that we "refused" for room to be clean---which is NOT true! We were not in room the entire day each day from 8 am until 8 pm because doing a show, so how would we have refused?

This is the Days Inn or Motel 6 of timeshares. Each unit needs about $10,000 in TLC, as the carpets are sticky, so if you take off your shoes and walk around on it, your socks will be black, The entire area of Atlantic City needs to be leveled and rebuilt as the area is rough and is not safe. Had 5-6 cop cars with lights and sirens on, break up something at the restaurant down the street from this place on a Sunday night. Wife and kids didn't feel safe walking the boardwalk anytime after dark. Won't ever go back to this place or even Atlantic City. Could smell pot in the hallways of this place and everywhere else on the boardwalk.
