Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is disgusting. We were put in the Dennis Tower which, from my understanding, is the older part. Our first room was falling apart. I asked to change rooms and the next room was slightly less disgusting. You can hear everything, full blown conversations throughout the hallways. It is run down with paper thin walls and filth everywhere. DO NOT STAY HERE! EVER!

Hotel is run down. Curtains ripped in one of the rooms. The one smoking room we had was down a dark, dirty, dingy, smelling hallway. We will not be back! The entire place should be closed and torn down.

The only good room was 1051. Bad thing about it no safe in room. Its now May 1st and received a bill saying I owe money. The hotel took $658 on Dec 5 from me when my stay was less than that. Called the hotel front desk and they spook to me very rudely. I was not able to speak cause the woman overpowered the call and then she told me she couldn't speak to me anymore and transferred the call to Steven the Supervisor. When I was trying to tell him the over charged my Credit Card and told him they owed me money he told me I was wrong even though I had their bill and my bank statement Infront of me. He then hung up on me which was uncalled for. We stayed there after that later that month and he told me we owed money from that stay as well and when I looked at my bank statement again, they over charged me and was pretty much called a Lier and he hung up the phone on me again. I now live in Atlantic City and with all of this makes me never want to go back to Bally's cause of the mistreatment. I also asked for my room to be cleaned while I stayed there for 4 nights, and it Never was. They only came in the room and dropped off towels and sheets but didn't take the garbage or anything including vacuuming when I asked them for it. On that stay they tried to kick my SERVICE DOG out and tried to tell me that she was not a SERVICE DOG when I had her ID in my wallet. They told me that I had to give them the Medical Reason why I have her which is against all Federal, State, ADA, And HIPPA Laws. Once you tell them she is for my Medical they are supposed to not ask any more Questions. And that Man that stopped me was the Head of the Security.

Going in the off season (not summer) is definitely not recommended. Also, we stayed there on Tuesday thru Thursday night. None of their major restaurants were open! There is a Johnny Rockets attached to the hotel on the boardwalk side and the Casino Cafe and Grill is open just for Breakfast and Lunch. Also there was a pizza and a sub place that were open (I think). However, they were on the other side of the complex and we never went over there. Our room was very standard and had a finicky bed light that liked to turn itself on and off at random. The shower was the greatest part of the room. Instant hot water with great nozzle pressure. I could have stayed under that water for the entire stay. The casino has all the typical games but almost all the table games are non-functional until the evening.

I booked a room for my wife and I. When we checked in we were given a room that did not have a working safe, so I went to the front desk to ask for assistance in fixing the safe. They did not have anyone available so I asked to move. I was put in a room close by that only had one chair, for the two of us, for 2.5 days. I again went to the desk at 5:00 PM and ask for an additional chair. The desk clerk called housekeeping and requested one for us. My wife and I went about our business and back to the room three hours later. Still no second chair. I called the front desk and was told that the checked with housekeeping and came back and told me that there was a shift change and housekeeping had not passed on the request. They put in a new request and told me it would be about an hour. Three hours later my wife and I went to bed without a second chair. In the morning I again went to the front desk and asked about the second chair The deck clerk called housekeeping and requested the chair while I stood there. She then told me that if the hotel doesn't have a chair available, they will not fulfil my request. I asked if someone would let me know that I will not be getting a chair the desk clerk said, "No", nobody will call you. I then went to the pool/gym and found out they were closed, only open on Saturday and Sunday. I was told my $26 Resort fee included access to the pool/gym. If they are not open when I stay there, why I am charged the full amount? I stayed for three days and two nights, never did I get any room service, no trash emptied, no fresh towels, not refill of coffee. Lastly, I asked for a wakeup call on my departure day and of course, no one called, fortunately I got up in time for my scheduled departure without the hotel's assistance. I have been going to Bally's for over ten years, twice a year. NEVER AGAIN

Read plenty of reviews booking, but gave benefit of doubt, great mistake. Many reviews mention longs waits chick-in. Arrived after 10p night, kiosk not working…a long wait in line to be advised “room not ready” and downgraded to another room. Staff unpleasant. The casino appears dreary/dark and bathrooms no light and no shower doors. There is no housekeeping, unless asked. Pool was closed for “renovations”, the reason I choose this hotel. Smoke, smoke and more smoke smell…all thru casino and rooms. So needless to say, no improvements on these continued complaints. Caesars do betta…

The plus-The hotel has a recent renovation and they've done a good job with that. The negatives-We did not have maid service during our three day stay. The phone didn't work. The menu on the TV didn't work. I would have called to the desk and told them of these issues but again, the phone didn't work and every time I called using my cell phone I was put into a queue and the call was never picked up. I never saw more than one front desk attendant staffing the front desk. The day before we checked out I asked the slot club attendant if I could speak to a casino host and was asked, "Why?". The reason why is that I like to gamble and will ask the casino host if they could look at my play and see if they could comp anything. I tried calling from both the house phone and my cell phone to reach a casino host and was put into a voice mail box with no message at all. I left a message twice but never received a call back. I think it is very doubtful that I would stay and play here again.

For the $359 rate the rooms are old and dated although very clean. The cleaning crew were very loud and woke us up at 8:30 a.m. the pool was only open on weekends and when we went on Saturday it was still not open due to maintenance. When we mentioned it the staff were very kind and professional. Wish we would have at the Hard Rock where we stayed the night before but we had concert tickets at Ballys.

Not the greatest. I had a Groupon so first time there. Hotel looks a bit dirty and when I got to my room the bath tub was chipped from paint. I couldn’t wait to leave. Just ghetto. Tropicana is much better
