Stay away!!!!!! This place is a carbuncle!!! It is old tired grungy carpets are dirty, bathroom is disgusting. Thank goodness we were there over only one night. In at 4 and out by 9. The parking is very tight you can get blocked in because cars park behind each others. Stay away.
My best advice is if you stay here you better have a sense of humor, a updated tetanus shot and a affinity for thick bathroom caulk. The entire building is shifting to the left and you won’t have to worry about a fire because it seems that the whole building is “moist” from water damage so rest easy!! Furniture in the rooms was clearly taken from the side of a street and our door seemed like it was kicked in so many times that when it closed there was a gap at the top. Thank God don’t carry a black light because the whole room was like a bad episode of CSI! Surprisingly the mattress was comfortable and the sheets were bleached clean but in an epic missed photo opportunity there were sheets out back on the ground waiting to be cleaned sitting right next to a rat trap. Best part was when I went out to grab a Pepsi from the soda machine located out front on the street, I think most passerby’s thought I was a high class hooker temporarily down on her luck! All in all and interesting experience but if you have the means…upgrade to another hotel!…
Reserved two nights on Hotwire and knew it was a budget motel but Red Carpet is the absolute worst place I've ever stayed. If I wasn't there with friends to do a triathlon, I would have left immediately. The carpeting was filthy and everything in the room smelled funky. Tub, sink, counter and floor in the bathroom were lined with an inch or more of grout that was imbedded with dirt. There were two threadbare, grayish towels that felt damp before even used. Luckily I brought my own pillow and sheets. No way I was getting into that bed. The posted photos on the website must be 20 years old. DON'T STAY THERE especially if you are concerned about COVID. It appears that no cleaning, let alone a deep cleaning, has been done in years.
This hotel needs to be gutted. As soon as we pulled in I knew it was going to be bad. But this was a last minute trip and we couldn’t cancel or get a refund for the two nights. The room smelled like cigarettes, like someone was in there chain smoking . The elevator has signs that say only two ppl at a time well there was three of us so I had to walked up the stairs with my hands full. The room was disgusting. There were multiple burn holes in the comforter on the bed I can’t believe they still even have it there who in their right mind would use it?. I pulled the corner of the sheet back to check for bed bugs and immediately found hair imbedded in the mattress protector that was ripped beyond belief I mean what is it even protecting? The bathroom was really dirty, they gave us two small thin towels to use for the shower I went and bought my own to use . I made the mistake of walking around in white socks, they were black right after. Both nights I was woken up by someone banging on the door in the next room. I went to Walmart and bought my own sheets pillow cases and blankets to use otherwise I would not of been able to sleep there. There’s locks on the dressers drawers so you can’t use it. Do not stay at this motel. I don’t care how close it is to the boardwalk and casinos it’s disgusting. …
the only thing that was clean was the bed sheets. the carpets were supposed to be green, but looked more like black. I would not dare walk on the floor barefoot. All the furniture was old and falling apart. 1970's microwave and the mini fridge was full of rust and shelves were broken. the tv had a layer of , what looked like vasoline on it. The bathroom was disgusting. I couldn't even take a shower in there. There were suspicious activities going on in a few rooms near us with lots of traffic in and out. Definitely gave me an uneasy feeling. Thankfully it was only one night. Never again.
Rooms need to be updated and repaired and thoroughly cleaned. Electrical outlets were loose. Bathroom faucet dripped. Some trash found in corners on the floor. It was quiet, convenient to boardwalk and RESORTS and HARDROCK casinos and really cheap. Parking was convenient, close and free.
The room is by far and away not perfect, but for what I paid it was fine, clean sheets and a place to sleep with good A/C. If you like 5 star hotels stay away, but if you are budget conscious and don't mind less than perfect accommodations this is more than fine. Parking is a pain, you receive a parking pass and then have to figure out how to maneuver into whatever space the person at the front desk tells you to park in, my car is small so it wasn't hard but if you own a large sedan or SUV it will be tricky.
The parking is absolutely ridiculous here. There's maybe 10 open parking spaces and half of them are against a fence where you will get parked in. We had to take an Uber to get anywhere due to this. The hotel is outdated and run down looking on the outside but the room we stayed in was decent. Updated but done cheaply. Not dirty in the room but the bathroom could have definitely used a new shower. Not a terrible walk to the beach and boardwalk. On our walk back from the outlets (do not walk to the outlets from here, it's way too far - we made this mistake) a woman walked out from behind a dumpster and asked us to engage in some "activities". We were disgusted by this area. Stay somewhere else that has better reviews and isn't in a dangerous, scummy area of the city. I wouldn't recommend bringing children to this area.…
I am planning on staying here after a concert. YES when I first looked, they showed the nicer rooms and I am hoping they r the non smoking rooms. BUT if u take the time to look at all pics u will see that most rooms are OLD. Looks to me like if they would just CHANGE THE CARPETS, it is called RED CARPET after all, if they changed the carpets, it would really really really get rid of a lot of the smell. I do know this, if we get into a room n it smells like smoke n looks like yuk, I will snap n the old man will probably want his $$$ back...
This place was scary. I have never seen this many bugs in one room. I was petrified and felt terrible for bringing my little girls here. Never again will I come here or even recommend to any to stay here. Much rather sleep in my car.
