I've been in tayrona 4 times now and still is one of the best beaches and places I've visited in my life, the hike to Cabo San Juan is tough but completely worth it, there is nothing fancy about the camp and the facilities are quite basic. My recommendation if you want more comfort stay at the arrecifes campings that...

Camping Don Pepes is about a 1 hour walk into the park from the main entrance and one of the 1st places you can stay. It's set a couple if hundred metres inland of the beach, but it's not one if beaches you can swim at anyway. The 2 days we were there we walked 15-20 mins to the nearest...

The national park is really marvellous and simple words cannot represent the reality of these fantastic panoramas, beaches, atmosphere. You have to pass by there. But pay attention if you wish to sleep into it: the eco-habs are really nice even if expensive while I've been in Bukaru campings and particularly in cabins: dirty, not follow up at all by...

We checked out Don Pedro and the facilities seemed ok (about an hour from the entrance), near Arrecifes beach. It was very quiet though with only a few people staying there so we decided to go back to the "junction" and turn towards the other campgrounds. We opted for "The Paradise" which was great. Simple facilities - 5 showers and...

We stayed one night here in a hammock. Given the walking you do in Tayrona I'd definitely recommend staying a night in the park - hearing the waves and insects at night is an experience in itself. This place is by Arrecifes beach and we thought it was a much better option for sleeping. You can still walk to Cabo...

We stayed in a cabin in the Bukaru site. This had a double bed and bunk bed. Own en-suite bathroom, 24hrs cold water (which we didnt mind as its so hot in the park). There was also electricity available and a fan in the room. Beds included mosquito needs which we were relieved to see and they provided a padlock...

We we advised by Colombian friends to stay here, and they were so right! When you get to Arrecifes turn inwards (away from the camping site by the beach) and 10 minutes later you will find an ample and gorgeous camping site surrounded by palm trees and for HALF THE PRICE! You have a lot of space between tents, unlike...

We had been recommended this campsite over others by friends and we are glad we took their advise. The price of the camping was far cheaper than any of the others and and they had clean showers and toilets. The man who showed us to our hammock was really friendly and made us feel welcome. At night, its wonderful listening...
