We loved this hostel. Stayed for four nights and wish we had longer. It is a party hostel, but we stayed in a private room and were not bothered by any noise. There are trips you can organise through the hostel and the bar has something on every night. Poblado is a really cute area in Medellin. It's a bit...

Happy Buddha is definitely a party hostel. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm with a bathroom during our time there. The dorm and bathroom were ordinary and had lockers that couldn't be locked. However, the biggest downfall of the room was the noise. The room was right above the bar making it virtually impossible to sleep before the bar...

We first checked into the Happy Buddha Hostel in an area near the Poblado Metro Station stop. The area of town was exceptionally trendy with cafes, craft breweries and clothing outlets surrounded by the greenery of the neighborhood. The Caribbean prices were a thing of the past but the quality had definitely improved and the Paisa pride and business savvy...

The Happy Buddha hostel is amazing!!! Comfy beds, sociable environment, friendly staff (shout out to Ricardo) and the best pre-drinks/events in Medellin. The hostel is located in the heart of Zona Rosa, so you're guaranteed to have a good night out. Make sure you meet Luna and get her to take you out to a reggaeton or salsa bar.

Really nice bar area and cheap drinks which is always a bonus! The dorm beds were pretty comfortable too. Only a few things let it down in my opinion, having to wait well past check in time because the room wasn't ready, breakfast was disappointing and some of the staff were a tad rude and unhelpful. Overall great party hostel

Great party hostel! Friendly, colorful, clean and right in the middle of everything. But also noisy, crowdy...As a couple I would suggest staying in a private room. The place is totally okay for one or two nights.

I stayed here last weekend (Nov 4, 5 & 6). It's not a bad hostel, a fair breakfast in the morning is welcomed by most for sure. But secure... I really don't know. Often I found the door to my 6-bed dorm room open, and I'm not exactly blaming the hostel staff.... but how is that fair to me? Obviously...

In general the hostel is fine, facilities are okay and the rooms are quite big. The architect who put the washing table in the room next to the toilet must have really short legs, because there is no way you get keep you legs straight in front of you when sitting on the toilet. The atmosphere is good, other travelers...

It took more than one hour for "Ricardo" to check us in. He was not very helpful in explaining the basics from the hostel, and whenever we asked him a few questions he was always sarcastic in his answers. Missed out a lot of the activities from the hostel due to this. The rest of the staff were very friendly...
