The facility is generally nice. Having hammocks and a rooftop to chill on in nice. Also having a restaurant in the hostel is awesome as well. But that's it for positives from me. The staff was not helpful. The cleaning staff was unfriendly and would barge into rooms early in the morning before people woke up to change the garbages...

I arrived to Casa Kiwi with another traveler and we were placed in separate rooms. I was on the second floor dorm, "Azalea". The room had three bunks, secure lockers and a nice balcony. There is plenty of room to relax and socialize at this hostel: the rooftop patio, the restaurant patio or the super up cinema room with every...

After hearing great reports of this hostel from a friend I agreed to stay. The place is great, on first appearance. Very modern feel and lovely social deck area. However, some of the basics are lacking which lets the place down. There were no lockers in our room and when we requested them we were pointed in the direction of...

We stayed in a double room on the third floor. The room smelled like sewer when we arrived and there is noisy construction. The social aspects of the hostel are great. Other than that, the staff are rude and unhelpful which made our stay frustrating and regretful. Not to mention the lock on our door was broken and front door...

Basically Casa Kiwi is fine but there are so many other hostels in the area which are cheaper and have a much better feel. The facade of the hostel is nice, it looks new and almost like a hotel however that's where the problem lies - the staff act like they run a fancy hotel and treat you like a...

If you plan on getting your washing done here I would count your items before hand because they lose things and don't give a damn when you tell them. Infact probably just get it done somewhere else as it's really expensive anyway. The staff have been quite unfriendly throughout our stay and I would not recommend this hostel as the...

Got a private room with some mates. Decent size and reasonable rate. Woke up to a massive cockroach crawling up my arm last night :( food here is very good. Good location close to all the bars and a quick taxi ride from the clubs.

A very English speaking hostel Staff very nice and helpful We had a private room with shared bathroom, very clean and all the bathrooms/toilets are cleaned every few hours so you never use a dirty one :) Close to everything... I would stay again and recommend it to anyone going to Medellin.

I stay in hostels in all of my travels, private room with private bathroom always, and I can definitely say Casa Kiwi was the best one yet. Rooftop has a dipping pool and a place to chill in, third floor has a bunch of hammocks to just relax and right above is a massage room, pool table, kitchen and a...

Great location, really good quality mattresses, reasonably clean, beautiful common area with restaurant, bar, kitchen, lot of space to chill out and meet other travelers, pool, terrace with hammocks, rooftop terrace with chairs and a small but pleasant swimming pool. Very kind staff. Close to everything but the metro (some 20 minutes walking). Great place, 100% recommended!
