The room was lovely, the atmosphere was lovely, the staff was lovely. Truly a lovely gem right on the edge of the old city in Cartagena. If back in Cartagena we would stay again:) Also it was very close to everything in the old city too. Plus if you are into wifi, they have a great connection which helps for...

Casa Peter was owned by the american writer Peter Tompkins (very interesting character) and he put rooms everywhere in the building to accommodate family, friends and friends of friends. No two rooms are alike. He added two large hot-tub- sized cool pools to be used for cooling off during those hot Cartagena days. Four of us loved that place. There...

We were surprised to find no AC, open air windows, no blinds, not maintained, water enters room and hotel when raining, staff not always present, hot water available on and off....so lots of negatives we had to change hotel

We adored the athmosphere, friendly staff and location of this small hotel. Quiet, authentic and charming. A great find, especially if you are interested in historical surroundings and uniqueness at a reasonable price.

I was recommended here by friends but was slightly disappointed. The building was old and beautiful if not a bit run down. Breakfast was good. But we arrived at 2 am and had asked about that initially and again when we confirmed. Nobody expected us when we arrived and we didn't see the manager for two days. No info given...

This place is unique and genuine. The building architecture style is colonial old school. it is the most original spot in the old town of Cartagena. The location is quiet and close to everything. Staff is so nice and helpful.

The location is very good, the hotel is more like a house style. The arquitetura is interesting, everything very simple, people were very nice, and a balcony with ocean view, the concern is no ar conditioning. There is no tv, which is a good point for us.

Last week we stayed at Casa Peter and highly recommend the place. It's friendly staff and the vicinity to the old city center of Cartagena is worth coming here. Cartagena is quite pricy so you might be looking for a affordable hotel: we paid 77 Euro for a double.

A very nice little hotel, used to be the home of a writer, Casa Peter is held by the same women who worked with the owner. It's a fresh, beautifull house, right by the murralla, in old city center. Nicely but not overly decorated... and a very good price for city-center.

Stayed here with a group. Location was great. A short walk to Plaza San Domingo. Old city walls right next door. A bit noisy at night if you have exterior room, but generally very quiet. Restaurant Salou, which is highly recommend, but not cheap, is practically next door. Stayed in room used by original owne.r
