The location of Getsemani means that you're within one of the only neighbourhoods where local Colombians still reside, which means that you get a much more authentic feel for Colombia. The neighbourhood was entirely safe and I never once felt uncomfortable. The Casa is still only a 5 min walk from the walled city and less then a 10 min... More

Location: About a ten minute walk from the clock tower, the hotel is set in the fun neighborhood of Getsemani. Don't let that deter you, it is a wonderful neighborhood, my boyfriend and I walked numerous late nights around town and always felt safe. You get to mingle more with the locals and there are tons of lovely restaurants within... More

I don't even know where to start: everything at Casa Lola was exemplary. I felt like I'd been transported back in time to a place where hotel staff are actually genuine and knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. I've stayed at the Ritz-Carlton and the like in the past, and even though you're paying a premium, often the staff are pert and... More

My boyfriend and I came for our 1 year anniversary and the staff was warm, welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is small but in an intimate and charming way. Don't expect all the bells and whistles from a classic American hotel I.e fancy bath products or a super hot shower, but honestly all else is worth it with a... More

Cartagena was a highlight of our trip and we were happy to be in such an impressive and intimate hotel for the duration. It is in a good location just outside the main centre with lots of vibrant streets filled with bars and restaurants around it (Havana on the corner is a must for a wild Cuban night). The interior... We originally booked this hotel for two nights thinking we would then move to another part of Cartagena for the last three nights of our stay. After the first night, we decided we wanted to stay at Casa Lola the entire time we were in Cartagena (and, we loved Cartagena so much we extended our planned 5 night stay to... More

The only disappointment was our bathroom (room # 9.) I found mildew in various areas, which I find it unacceptable considering all the excellent reviews we read about this place. The gardens and pools are very nice and breakfast is fantastic. Interesting concept. A/C unit works well. WiFi is good. Front desk personnel is kind and friendly.

This hidden gem in Getsimani is one of the most beautifull places I have stayed in. When you step through the door the lovely people who work there will make you feel right at home. The interior of this hotel is breathtaking. It's like this maze, behind every corner there is another beautifull place. And the maze will lead you... More

I had a wonderful time staying at Casa Lola, after spending 1 night in a nightmare hotel in Bocagrande. The staff is nothing but charming and pleasant, the hotel common areas were all beautiful with a wonderful small courtyard and water feature, and our room was lovely. Very strong AC (important since one of our days there hit over 100F),... More
