This is a great small hotel that is away from the main crowds but an easy walk to everything. Front staff is great, breakfast fantastic and everyone is extremely helpful. Rooms tend to be small, but so is the price compared to the main tourist hotels in the walled city. Airco is great - essential in hot and humid (steaming)...

Tres Banderas is an attractive hotel complete with comfortable rooms, wi-fi access and an attractive layout. The hotel is situated in a colonial style building making it a nice, attractive place to stay. There isn't anything outstanding about the hotel itself, but it's a great place to stay in Cartagena that doesn't break the bank. Moreover, the location of the...

This hotel was not my first choice but when arriving in the hotel I'd thought of staying in, and seeing the rooms (very expensive and no window), I decided to go up a street to my 2nd choice, 3 banderas. I definitely made the right decision! I was rather early and the team offered me coffee while I waited for...

Some of the previous reviews of this wonderful hotel stated problems that I can assure you we did not have to deal with. We stayed at their location in the historical Old Town as well as a couple of days at their sister hotel on Isla Tierrabomba. In Cartagena, we were able to enjoy hot showers, which was pure heaven...

Just returned from a few days in Cartagena. As a female solo traveler, I was particularly concerned about safety. The Tres Banderas was the perfect home base for exploring the city. It's in the San Diego poriton of the Old City, which is in easy walking distance of everything, and is a bit quieter and slower paced than El Centro....

This was a great hotel for the price and located in a wonderful area of the city. The rooms were very clean, hot showers, and a very good breakfast is included. The staff was very friendly and very helpful- especially for a couple whose Spanish is not wonderful! We had planned to stay somewhere different at the end of our...

We stayed here for four nights and enjoyed our stay. The location was great because it's in the old part of Cartegena and it's very easy to walk to the old City walls and fort. Also, easy to find restaurants and places to eat. Our room was a good size on the second floor so we had a small balcony...

I have stayed here twice (which is testament in itself). They have basic (around COP 180,000) or superior rooms (around COP 200,000). The superior at 20k COP more (thats about £7 or $10 per night for a twin) are worth the premium. Our superior room was big enough and had a nice private terrace too. The smaller rooms are a...
