I stayed in the main building, and should have taken the VIP tower -- the breakfast is different and much better. Rooms are adequate, but beware -- you can walk a long long way in this hotel. Staff are nice, though english proficiency varies a lot (we got lucky, they had an intern with perfect english at the concierge stand).... More

I have been here during a one week conference. The rooms are large and comfortable even if they strongly smell smoke as non-smoking policy is not clear in China. Probably rooms are now non smoking but the smell is deeply rooted in the carpets and walls. The WiFi is awful even if you can have a router in your very... More

Tall and elegant towers. Comfortable rooms. Free wifi. Airconditioners are switched off in winter. Exotic ancient world restaurants and good mall at lower floors. Conveniently located. Staff do not understand English.

Our room was very far from the only elevators room. Needed to pass a long way in a maze with a need to remember the signs along the way in order to find yourself back to the elevator. Indeed, there is an additional elevator but it leads to the breakfast hall in fifth floor of the hotel or to ground... More

To reach yourr room you have to walk in a maze of corridors, good chance of loosing your way. Room: In urgent need of renovation. Paint peeling from walls and doors. Mildew on shower tiles. Carpet wasn't vacuum cleaned and room generally looks unclean. Fancy and kitchy lobby and exterior.

Nice hotel, good breakfast. nice room, very satisfying after a busy and interesting day . The only problem is that it is built like a maze... maybe in favor of the Terracotta army near by. The maze is in almost each floor; you should remember your elevator for not reaching another section. So my suggestion: wake up 15 minutes earlier... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in the VIP tower. The room was large and comfortable, if a little dated. Service was friendly and attentive, and the choice at breakfast very good. One big criticism that the room was very gloomy, due to dark decor and feeble light bulbs. Otherwise it would have had a 5-star rating from me.

Stayed for 2 nights for a convention (which was held in the same hotel), very long walking distances between different hotel towers, meeting rooms and ballroom, very bad breakfast, terrible service attitude of personnel, carpets dirty. Strangely enough, friendliness and competence of hotel car driver and cleaning staff was good.

Stayed here for a night visiting Chengdu. The breakfast spread was excellent, the rooms were comfortable with tea maker and other facilities. However the rooms that we were given entailed a long trudge through several halls and floors! Location, however was great and the staff were very helpful.

The location for this hotel was not what i expected, chengdu is a large city, but this location was not central. The hotel was advertised as a four and five star hotel, but would not pass as a 2 star once you get past the lobby, it is too large for its own good and the quality of the building,... More
