Wen Jun Mansion is an authentic hotel located close to the Chinese Opera in a nearby park - which I highly recommend visiting during your time in Chengdu. We were delighted to be upgraded on arrival and our room located on the first floor was clean and tidy. The rooms are traditional with good WIFI connection and an excellent bathroom....

We stayed at the Wenjun Mansion Hotel for the five nights in Chengdu. Overall, we were very impressed by the hotel. The staff at the front desk spoke good English, and helped us get tickets to the Sichuanese opera across the street. Our room was comfortable, although the layout was slightly strange, with a side room that didn't seem to...

If you enjoy hotels with a historical ambiance, head over to Wenjun Mansion Hotel for your stay at Chengdu. It is relatively close to the train station and even closer to the face changing performance place. However, there are no elevators in this hotel so do travel light or you have to carry your baggage all the way to the...

Couldn't have been happier with this hotel. It was one of the cheapest we could find and it exceeded our expectations. The staff at reception were so friendly and helpful and could speak excellent English. Two members of staff in particular were extremely helpful (Frank and Michael) as they assisted us on days out, as the hotel offers a car...

We wanted to catch the 8pm Sichuan Opera performance, Shu Feng Ya Yun, at the nearby park so we decided to have dinner nearby. Despite the cold weather, there were locals sitting out in the courtyard having their meals. The kind waitress advised us to sit indoors. When we were ordering, she recommended non spicy dishes for us as we...

The hotel itself looks like a traditional Chinese building, located in Qintai road, an area full of such historic looking establishments. Staff speaks English, specially Frank at the reception helped us a lot. Rooms are spacious. Groundfloor rooms may be dark, we stayed on 1st floor which was okay. 2 minutes from a large opera which we felt was worth...

It is an old mansion but located within walking distance (15 mins) to Tonghuimen subway station (Line 2) and Kuanzhai Xiangzi. We stayed there for 2 nights in Sept 2016 before we left to Jiuzhaigou and the room including the bathroom is spacious and clean. This mansion is more suitable for those backpackers/budget travellers as its room facilities are a...

We arrived by taxi from the airport 70Y to the hotel. Large clean room with comfortable bed on the 4th floor. Traditional style hotel with no lifts. The hotel is on a busy road so if you're a light sleeper keep this in mind. Great location for exploring and metro station within walking distance. We didn't eat at the hotel,...
