Overall okay, even for the hospitality standard especially the services of the staff still not good enough. Perhaps I compare it with Indonesian ppl, whom more polite and smiley faces The food is good.
This hotel was booked out for Qingdao sailing week. Our group was staying here to compete in the international optimist regatta for 10 days. The hotel was suitable for our needs and the staff were accommodating of our needs. It is really only a 2-3 star hotel but was clean and very appropriate accommodation for the regatta.
I have stayed here twice for 6 days in total in last six months. Beds are most comfortable I ever slept on in China..Not hard just the right firmness, with comfort. Location is great in the city centre but just off the busy high street, avoiding completely the traffic noise and crowds. Its fifteen minutes walk to the Marina city and Olympic stadium. Rooms were clean and well decorated. Staff were very helpful, friendly and most spoke english with some at a high level. Breakfast was plentiful and with a big choice. A bigger room would have been better but for the quiet and comfort this may be hard to beat.
When I entered the hotel, all I can smell is a weird odor coming fron the kitchen. That was a "good" welcome. After checked in, go to the room, everything looks nice and clean until I realise that the bed was not right... It wasn't a king-size bed, it just two single beds put together so it looks bigger. The bathroom also good.. Clean and nice. Except the curtain! Full of unknown black dots.. So I decided to change room, and the service is very good. The told me to take my stuff and move to the other room. And obviously, it's better than last one.
About 200 meters away from Mykal Department Store. Rooms were ok, clean and neat. We received a phone call every evening at about 10pm. My husband answered the phone on the first night, the lady caller offered massage services... On the second evening, I picked up the phone but the caller just hanged up without saying a word. The stink of food from the restaurant next door smelled bad at the hotel lobby. Constructions of skyscraper were going on in front of the hotel.
