We spent 5 nights at this hotel during our combined business / pleasure visit to Qingdao. The hotel is not really located centrally but all attractions are reasonably easy accessible. Our taxi driver had no problems to get to the place from the airport, but some drivers may have difficulties finding it. As a hint, it is located on the edge of Zhonglian U Valley Industrial Park, a complex for small high-tech business operations. Considering the cheap price of the rooms we were pleasantly surprised about the clean rooms. They are simple but reasonably well equipped. It seems that the rooms have just been renovated recently. The only thing we found missing in the room was a refrigerator and a lock-up box. The bathroom is rather small but also very clean. Each room seems to have its own Wi-Fi repeater, surprise surprise, a feature not even found in many expensive hotels. However, Internet access is as everywhere in China somewhat limited and slow. The staff is very friendly and helpful. But be ware, without some Mandarin it is difficult to communicate. The guests at this hotel are mainly Chinese and few foreigners seem to frequent this place. There is no real restaurant within the hotel and breakfast is served at extra costs in a sort of meeting room. However, this breakfast I would not recommended for foreigners since it is really very low standard Chinese vegetarian food with little choice and variety. No tea or coffee is served. But there is an really excellent restaurant about 200 Meters from the hotel that serves a wide variety of local delicacies. Their speciality, the hand made Oneton is a must! We have been pleasantly surprised by this hotel, it was better and most importantly cleaner than we expected for the price. My wife being able to speak Chinese definitely helped matters. Don't expect western standards, this is a clean and friendly Chinese budget hotel and we would be happy to come back again.…
This hotel located in alley street, difficult to find. When we arrived Qing Dao railway station already night time, when asked for taxi to the hotel direction, most of the taxi refused to take us, we walked with our heavy backpack about 1km, and finally managed to get a bus to Shangqing Road (main road only). From the main road we walked about 10 minutes to the Shangqing Road. But, we spent a 30 minutes also can't find the hotel. First reason, the street was dark, second reasons, nobody know about this hotel or the address. Lastly, we passed by a very dark street (about 100 meter) and managed to see the signboard at T-junction. Overall, we spent almost 40 minutes to get this hotel. The hotel named called My Hotel, or My el. There was a guardhouse, just tell the guard you staying in this hotel. When we waiting for check-in, there was a couples complaint to the receptionist about bad smell from their toilet room, I was quite shocked when the receptionist did not try her best to solve the problem, just replied ": Sorry, I also have no idea and there is no empty room for you to change." Anyhow, no issue for our room. This hotel has free wifi but only available at lobby. Unfortunately, the wifi was down on the next days. The room was nice but low maintenance. The toilet got some smell, but not so bad for me. There was a LCD tv, comfortable bed and spacious room. The toilet designs is transparent which all in glass window. Only one layer of curtain to cover up half toilet, another half is transparent. Meanwhile, do not open your room door when someone occupying the toilet, as it's really see through! I hope the management able to improve on it, no privacy at all, besides, it's not convenient if stay with friend or parent. Overall, we quite enjoyed our stayed, location wise I would say it's not a very strategic area. Next time, I will stay nearby railway station area. Or somewhere which is tourist spot area.…
