This place is absolutely gorgeous! It is definitely the China you expect to see before visiting the country with traditional artworks and design amongst roaming rivers that surround the garden and pool. The hotel is huge! With floors of restaurants and facilities. The staff are...More

This hotel has impressive architecture for sure. Please expect that to get to your rooms, you may have to go through a maze since building high architecture is not allowed.
The rooms are also quite surprisingly mediocre and could use upgrading. Our room's bathroom has...More
The hotel has an interesting design reminiscent of a high official or nobleman of ancient china. It is a bit of a maze but the grounds AMAZING. Leave yourself enough time to walk the grounds. I did find the rooms could use a good clean...More

The hotel started operating in 1999 and became a Pan Pacific hotel in 2010. As Ham M suggests, if one is looking for a sleek, contemporary, glass & steel tall building, you would not choose our hotel. We were built with tradition in mind, encapsulating all the beautiful features of a Suzhou visit all within the hotel environs - beautiful gardens, rivers and bridges, pavillions and pagodas, distinct Jiangsu architecture and hospitality.
The Pacific Wing of the hotel was added in 2010 and is the Executive Wing of the hotel.
A RMB12million renovation was completed in May this year which encompassed some rooms, all meeting rooms, the ballroom and the Chinese Restaurant.
All the TripAdvisor members who had reviewed the hotel and got us our #6 ranking out of the over 1700 hotels in Suzhou should be a good basis for your choice of hotel.
