When you go to the Harbin Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival, which you MUST do before you die, a good choice for a hotel is the Ibis St Sophia. It's just three blocks from the beautiful Zhongyang shopping street and two blocks from St Sophia Russian Orthodox Cathedral, now a museum of the city's history. The rooms are simple but...

My husband and my cousin went to Harbin for the Ice and Snow Festival. Booked this hotel thru Agoda.com because of the reasonable price, great location and somewhat good reviews. It's not a fancy hotel but it was quite more comfortable than expected. Lobby was not big but the reception were very helpful to all our questions. It is very...

This hotel is small but it has strategic location. Easily access to sophia church and central street in harbin. Quite comfortable and average cleanliness. Staffs are helpful especially housekeeping staffs. Recommended to those who like budget travel as the hotel price is reasonable.

Stayed here 8,9,10th of Jan, for the Ice Festival. Checking in & out was hassle free and fast. Room was spacious as was the bathroom. Room cleaned daily. Breakfast buffet at 25y was plain with limited choice, BUT healthy which suited me fine. WiFi was a problem for me in China, so no surprises here when again my phones WiFi...

Pretty terrible. Unless you miss the feel of sleeping on your grandma's pullout couch when you were eleven, stay somewhere else. We barely slept the first night. We asked for a room change and were told to come get a key. I went down and was told there were no rooms. And the person who speaks English was gone(I was...

We stayed here for 3 nights during the Ice and Snow Festival. Upon our arrival, the hotel lobby was quite overcrowded but fortunately, it had heaters to make us more comfortable with the minus-20-degree-weather. The check-in process took a while because most of the guests were foreigners and the receptionists I guess were having difficulty communicating. The room was quite...

My adventure with Ibis Harbin began by trying to explain to the non-English speaking reception staff that I'd prefer a soft bed ("not hard like this counter," I said, knocking on the counter). When she finally understood, it was conveyed to me that soft bed "only 6 floor" but no smoking "only 7 floor." Well, being caught almost literally between...

This hotel is nicely located. The rooms are fine, and the staff is generally friendly. They have a good breakfast buffet, and it's pretty cheap. The buffet was not advertised anywhere, so you'll need to ask the front desk. I would stay again.

The Good: - Best location, in the middle of all the actions. - Value for money rooms. - Room is basic and not as bad as expected. Quite new I would say and not that small. - Basic toiletries provided, for the rest(moisturizer, laundry bag) they will charge you for each items. - Took their Chinese bus ride(free) for Ice...
