For about USD80 a night, this hotel has exceeded my expectations with comfortable beds, good shower pressure, strong WiFi connection, beautiful interior and excellent location. Front desk staff was helpful in directing us the fastest metro route to the railway station for train to Guangzhou.

We live in Hong Kong, coming to the Sea World, SheKou (snake’s mouth) is a day trip, mini getaway for us for some weekends. It’s a holiday area for the locals - very quiet and we can chillout as it’s far from any city centres. 50mins ferry ride from the HK-Macau Ferry Terminal you will be here. Cruise Inn in the heart of the Sea World has been a place we wanted to stay at but didn’t have a chance until this weekend! It’s converted from an old French cruise ship back in the 80’s, as the main icon in this Sea World holiday district. Everything in the area is developed around this hotel and are designed with a theme of the ocean and seaside. In fact, it is a theme park with many bars and restaurants. You can find all sorts of food and drinks, from NE Chinese, Thai, to European and Mexican. The hotel itself is pretty much keeping the old sea-world-look, believing not much been changed from the 80’s, but super clean. Staff are super nice and speaking very very good English. Highly recommended if you’re around Shenzhen area.

Although many China hotels are already advertising themselves as smoke-free premises, the problem of inconsiderate guests smoking in their rooms is still very common! And somehow, these smokers also like to leave their door open and let the cigarette smell linger into the corridor and affect others! Hope the hotel management can do more in this area. Overall, the stay here was ok. The lobby area and the lifts looked kind of dated, but the room was clean and shower area was surprisingly reasonably sized. I enjoyed the shower very much as the water pressure was just right! However, only after I had used the toiletries did I realized that the hair conditioner provided was manufactured in 2016/11 (see pic attached) and it was stated on bottle that it can last for 2 years which means expiry date is supposed to be 2018/11. I stayed at the hotel in Dec 2018, so it certainly wasn't a nice feeling to pay $100+ a night to use expired toiletries! Location-wise, the hotel is in an area with lots of restaurants/eateries around, not much in the morning, but esp lively at night. Guess the selling point of this hotel would be the novelty of sleeping in a clean room on a cruise ship, plus the convenience of walking back after dining/drinking at night. Otherwise, you may be better off choosing somewhere nearer to the places you want to visit.

We needed a hotel near the port of Shenzhen to eventually catch our ferry to the HONG KONG International airport and chose this one and definitely NOT sorry. Not only is the hotel great but the surrounding area gives you so much to do and access to the metro train services on your doorstep. Must be over 100 diverse restuarant options, shops and so much more including the museum design and entertainment centre on the waterfront. The ship originally belonged to the President of France but was bought by the Chinese and placed in its own stabilised moorings. In the water along side the ship there are several huge fountains that have a water show of epic proportions each night from 7pm all set to music. You can eat dinner from 5pm and see the water show twice, one at fading light and one by night. Staff were great and William who spoke English really well looked after us so well. Didn't want to leave.

This hotel feels so small because it’s like being on a ship. Great theme and novel but a little dated. Got a good nights sleep which accounts for a lot. Staff are friendly and helpful. All rooms are non smoking. Bathroom was very clean as was my room. I didn’t eat there just slept and left so it suited me. Close to the port and great amenities around hotel.

Nice hotel but a bit dated in areas. Rooms are nicely appointed and differnent. You can tell you're on a ship even though it's land locked. Very good breakfast with lots of choice and good serving time of 0630 to 1030.

Having spent three days in Futian Qu District of Shenzhen we decided to get closer to the Shekou Ferry Terminal to return to HongKong international airport. We booked the Cruise in on line based on its close location to the ferry terminal and star rating. When we arrived at Sea World Square, which is a pedestrian mall, we were looking for a normal hotel building and it took us a while to realise that the Cruise Hotel is actually a large ship and the rooms are modern cabins. We were made most comfortable by the reception staff, who spoke perfect English and were eager to help. The ship is located in a large pool area, surrounded by modern chinese and western restaurants, shops and walkways. The ship has its own micro brewery on board and we tasted their brew. At night the whole area came alive with people, lights and a spectacular water fountain show every half hour.On checking out the staff arranged for transport and portered our bags to the taxi.Would highly recommend this hotel ,keep in mind that the rooms are cabins not suites.Ken and Uli

When I booked this hotel I was a little worried that it would be dated and have that lingering mildew smell, but you just cannot beat this location and I mistakenly trusted the reviews. Upon first entry, the inn looked promising. The floor and the walls were well maintained. The elevator was fine, no stench yet. Then I entered the room. The ceiling is a little low. The bed is hard but clean. The floor was awful!!!! I am sure in its "hay day" it was blue, but there were so many bleach stains it was no longer blue, more like blue with pinkish polka dots. The shower was fine, but the housekeeping had not cleaned the toilet thoroughly. That was extremely disappointing!! This hotel does have a great location, but I am not sure how it is rated so high.
