We stayed at Erratic Rock 2 for one night in late December 2009 before heading to Torres del Paine. We arrived fairly late and left quite early but the service that we experienced in our short stay was excellent. The room which we had was out of the back of the hostel - they have two floors with I think...

We made ER2 our base while visiting Torres del Paine and can't say enough about Marcela's kindness and helpfulness. When my husband injured himself she bent over backwards to offer help and assistance. The rooms are comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. Breakfast each morning is well organized and substantial. This hostel is more like a...

We stayed at Erratic Rock 2 before and after trekking in Torres del Paine. Marcela responded to my first incredibly fast, giving us all the information we needed. She is a great host, and the hostal is more like a B&B - comfortable rooms, friendly service, and breakfast that exceeds any similar hostal. Don't miss Torres del Paine, it is...

The American owners of the Erratic Rock properties are wonderful. They're a wealth of knowledge about Patagonia and make everyone feel at home - Erratic Rock is more like staying with friends. They even cook breakfast for guests (eggs, bread, cereal, yogurt)! There is free wi-fi and internet, a really good book exchange and a wide array of services for...

We stayed at ER2 on two separate occasssions (heading to and returning from Torres Del Paine). Both visits were excellent. All staff are really helpful and really do make the stay a pleasure. Highly recommended.

Erratic Rock II is clean, cheap and silent. It´s a perfect hostel to rest after a long day trip through Torres del Paine and other patagonean touristic sites. But the best thing about this hotel is the sympathy and the charisma of its manager, Marcela. She is very sweet and helped us out with everything we needed. She even took...

A friendly and clean hostal. All the rooms have a TV, most hostels we stayed in while in South America don't. A lot of people have complained about the thin walls and therefore the noise, but we did not find this to be a problem. Very helpful staff at Erratic Rock I, who will give you all the information you...

This is a very nice hostel for couples. We had a room with a double bed which was a bit basic, but good enough. Unfortunately it can get a bit noisy because the walls are very thin. But the owner is very friendly and speaks excellent English, and the breakfast was the best one we had in Patagonia (omlett, homemade...

Hi The host is one of the most helpful people we met in our journeys. She is caring and speak excellent English. She can give you great advice about restaurants and places to see. The room was basic, had a good bed, we were disappointed that there were no chairs inside the room. The shower was excelent. The main problem...
