Perfect oasis in the middle of Siem Reap with friendly staff, lovely and large rooms. The garden with large pool we enjoyed every day. Within walking distance to pub street and made in cambodia market. We would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay in this little paradise - a kind of Zen garden, despite being in the center of Siem Reap. The garden is beautiful, the rooms stylish (zen) but functional. We enjoyed very much the location as well, a 10 min walk to the center.

We stayed with this hotel for 3 days 9-12 june 19 which was pleasant minus the cold water showers and that they kept turning off the ac while we were gone so we would come back to a sauna. The villa has a shuttle driver who will drive you around then hold your bags at the airport untill you pay him $150 claiming the hotel hasnt payed him for driving services that were never agreed apon in advance and the hotel would not pick up their phone either to help us clear it up!!!! We asked both the hotel and the driver how much in advance. We would of never used if the hotel and driver would have been upfront with prices. Avoid at all costs!!! These people are Thieves!

Response from JMarciano, Responsable relations clients at Villa Amalia

All the clients follow the rules except you: When you leave the villa for the entire day (visiting Angkor), you need to close the power in the room. If all the rooms in Siem Reap let their aircond open for nothing all the day, we let you with your vision of tourism and ecology. But for you, to let open the aircond all the day is the price to get it cold at the arrival instead of waiting 5 mn. We can't change your education. About taxi..... Why you don't mention that you visited 3 full days Angkor temples by car ? 3 full days with driver all round Angkor temples has a price. Only 1 way transfer was included in your reservation. Please show us where 3 full days of visit by car was included in your reservation (already breakfast and airport pick up). You can't, so I will save you time : Your accusations are very serious. We will contact Tripadvisor for a lawsuite process.

A small family run Villa consisting of 9 units. After booking we followed up on the advertised shuttle from the airport, however, our emails were never returned and we took a taxi. Our family unit was perfect for a couple + a single adult because it provided an adjoining room complete with separate bathroom and TV for the 3rd (and 4th person if needed). The rooms were large and very clean; breakfast was included and delicious. A boxed breakfast was provided if you asked for same to take on an early excursion; it was fresh fruit and a croissant and bread with no butter or jam. When following up on the advertised shuttle from the airport, our emails were never returned. We took a taxi. The staff were friendly and helpful, and although limited English, we had no problems communicating. The pool was surrounded by lovely gardens and we enjoyed the same every afternoon during the hot part of the day. There are many restaurants within easy walking distance of the Villa and the large indoor market is also within walking distance. We would stay at this venue again.

This hotel was a great find: not too far from pub street and very comfortable. The only issue were the mosquitoes because the property is very green, but they took care of it with incense sticks on request. Breakfast was not as lavish, but we were quite happy with the home-like breakfast every morning. The staff too is very helpful. Overall we had a great stay!
