This is a small hotel just a couple of dollars away by tuk tuk from the main centre of Siem Reap. Staff and management are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are of a good size although a bit dark, but that might be just a personal thing as my eyes aren't brilliant. Breakfast could do with a bit more of...

Had an excellent stay at this boutique hotel. We were there on Christmas Eve and they put on a show in the main restaurant together with a gala dinner. It involved the staff and the local children doing their party pieces. This was for the westerners as Christmas day was not something they celebrated. The accommodation was excellent. Spacious comfortable...

We had a great stay at the HanumanAlaya. It's a beautiful property with only 14 rooms on two levels and a pretty, relaxing swimming pool. It's a little out of the way, which is a plus because it's quiet and there's no tourist hassle. It's easy to get around -- just have the front desk call you a tuk tuk...

We arrived to this little hidden away boutique hotel - away from the road and also away from the main busy town. Which is a positive and negative depending on what you want. We enjoyed being in a quite area (not much to do near it). It has a very jungle tropical feel, dark wood and vegetation/plants everywhere. Pool is...

Lovely little hotel. The rooms are very spacious and the C?C is very efficient. Staff were very helpful with arranging transportation to Angkor Wat and other sites. Good Food and lovely pool to cool off.

A beautifully furnished boutique residence with a lovely pool. The residence is conveniently located on the main road to Angkor Wat. Our room was located up-stairs, beautifully decorated and contained a large comfortable bed and en-suite bath/shower. The shower was hot and there was reasonable water pressure. Unfortunately the air-conditioning was inadequate and the over-head fan noisy making sleeping difficult....

It's just as good as it's photos. Spacious rooms, unique decorations, and refreshing pool. Wifi did well. Restaurant had very good food, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. This isn't in the part of Siam Reap where many people stay (ran into a problem with a tuktuk driver who wanted to charge us a lot because it was...

Hanuman Alaya was first class in every way. The staff were delightful , always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. All meals were delicious, as were the cocktails! The hotel has a lovely ' old colonial' feel with spacious bedrooms, cool verandas and a lush pool....a real oasis!

Great hotel. We were 8 in our party and all of us enjoyed our stay and Hanuman Alaya. Great Decor. Very large rooms, very large beds and equally large bathroom. Service was a bit slow but staff could not do enough for us. Very Enjoyable stay.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Prepare for divine inspiration! The temples of Angkor, capital of Cambodia's ancient Khmer empire, are the perfect fusion of creative ambition and spiritual devotion. HanumanAlaya, Angkor's very own boutique residence, is just a short distance away from these magnificent temple monuments and is the perfect blend of traditional Khmer design and sophisticated international amenities. Many guests love our idyllic retreat. Our guest book is a eulogy to hospitality: a 'wonderful place', 'excellent service', a 'perfect retreat'. 'Paradise'. Lovingly finished in wood and elegantly decorated in local antiques and handicrafts, the HanumanAlaya is a home more than a hotel and guests find it the perfect place to unwind after an adventurous day exploring Angkor Wat and the many other temples. Surrounded by lush gardens, a swimming pool, tropical plants, and a soothing Spa, it is an idyllic retreat from the bustle of Siem Reap beyond, a stay to be savoured rather than rushed. Angkor is a magical experience, one that will stay with visitors forever. Make it more memorable at HanumanAlaya by immersing yourself in our rooms with a personal touch. We are delighted to invite you to visit our sister property, HanumanAlaya Villa, located just 5mn walk from the main hotel. ... more   less
