Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Rooms are very spacious and the Hotel is spread over a large area close to the market area. Wish the entire staff was trained in basic spoken English as some could not understand a word and we had to use sign language to communicate. The buffet spread was good. The Hotel has installed idols of Hindu Gods - Shiva and Ganesha in their premises. Overall loved the stay.

Do not visit this hotel! Bad in all ways, far from town, bar and restaurant closed, AC worked poorly and service was terrible. We asked for more hangers since there were only two. They smile and say they Will fix it, ever wrote it in a book. Ni hangers came. Asked again next day. Ni hangers came. Terrible place

Misleading services. Claims to have a wide array of services such as room service, concierge, mini bar, 24hr doctor etc. However none of this is actually available, like staying in a hostel but with nicer rooms and over-priced. Staff are unhelpful and is not worth the price. Can stay in much better hotels for cheaper than this.

This hotel has no managers or they are too busy to come out and help resolve some issues with us. It is unfortunate for the owner to abandon all aspect of hospitality part in hotel business, when they think that catering the rooms to Chinese visitors at cheap price will do it for them. Don’t waste your morning time at the breakfast, there’s nothing worth trying. Better have a breakfast outside. If you have choice and time to look for a good boutique... stay away from this hotel. NB: The place is dark (lobby, hallway, room...)

This hotel is pretty horrible. It caters to Chinese people only really....they overrun all areas whilst shouting and smoking non stop. Hotel is dark and humid in all main areas, room was not too bad, clean and cool yet dark and no wifi. We moved room as were plonked at rear of complex overlooking the water treatment plant and it was noisy. But nowhere as noisy as the Chinese. These people are RUDE..... Food at breakfast is disgusting truly awful. Restaurant food was good though but the floor and the tables were dirty. Don't stay here. A tent would be preferable. Went across road to Lotus Blanc one evening and had best meal of my life!!!!!!

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and it's really bad!!!!! All guests are chinese groups and the hotel is dirty and old fashioned. Bad smell of chinese food all day everywhere, chinese guest always stayed with feet over the sofà,screaming and feeding. We asked to print our boarding pass but there wasn't a printer and the reception wasn't able to receive email. During the afternoon the pool was always full of people and the music too high. The rooms are comfortable but not so clean,we found two times beatles. Wifi doesn't work. I'll never come again!!!!!

It is a good and comfortable hotel.Staff , very hospitable. The breakfast spread is not in cosonance with four star status. Over all the stay was very comfortable .The hotel is situated in the centre of Siem Rip city and hence access to any place is excellent

We came as a group and stayed in Royal Empire Hotel for 4 nights. My wife and me stayed in a room on second floor. Odour was so strong when we entered the room, we tried to open the window but our window was facing other hotel back wall with lots of AC compressors. We requested to change our room and the hotel moved us after two nights to 4th floor facing the same back wall and odour remain the same. We saw cockroaches running around in the room. Breakfast was served cold on most of the "hot" dish. Only "Hot" dish is the egg and noodle station. the food quality is so so, no surprise at all. BTW, if you use their swimming pool, be careful of the chemical they used, it was so strong that might hurt your skin. I am sure will not stay in this hotel again or recommend to my friend.
