We spent 3 nights at Maison 557 and it was definitively the best stay we enjoyed during our trip in Vietnam and Cambodia. If you do not like the large, anonymous hotels which seem to pop up overnight in Siem Reap, and prefer an intimate,...More
As a Taiwanese American, I seriously considered staying instead at Cambodian (or at least Vietnamese)-run lodging for cultural immersion, authenticity, and/or fraction of M557 (M) price. Hi, we offer a couple of options for sunrise. Either we provide a breakfast box which you take with you for your 5am or 5.30am departure (depending on which time of year you visit) or you return post sunrise to enjoy breakfast which begins at 7am.
We have many guests who visit the sunrise, return for breakfast, rest and then return to the temples or a visit again mid morning.
Sunrise is a very busy time at Angkor Wat so the returning strategy is a good one and lets the crowds thin out.
Hope this helps
