We stayed at a standard double room for 4 nights in February. The room was on the small side but adequate for a short stay. The room was suitable for couples but maybe not so much for friends because of the shower area in the middle of the room. The room was clean. The shower worked well. The bed was...

Its tucked away few yards in a lane in heart of the town. A 6 room BNB outfit is cute. Be prepared to climb two or three floors. Obviuosly striking design, different but not fashy. The little space is used so beautifully. The lady who runs the place will arrange anything a tourist will want. Tuk-tuk, guide, no problem. Reliable...

This is a nice little restaurant in downtown Siem Reap. My husband and I decided on stopping there for lunch because on a 37° day we wanted somewhere cool, and there was a nice breeze blowing along the lane. The restaurant had a fairly comprehensive menu of Cambodian food, cheaply priced. We were served by a lovely lady who ensured...

Stopped in here for midday lunch and was very pleasantly surprised... Best amok I've had in Cambodia so far, great drinks, great atmosphere. The owner, don't know her name, is super happy and friendly. This place put a huge smile on my face.

This place is in prime location! The food is by far the best Khmer food I have tasted in Siem Reap. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The rooftop is the perfect to enjoy a breeze and a quiet drink with some friends. Plus the staff are friendly and helpful! I would recommend to anyone looking for a well-located place...

Fantastic cocktails with a large range to choose from. Order at the bar and head up stairs to get some breeze and a great view of the town below. Highly recommend! The food also smelt amazing but unfortunately we never tried it. Owners are lovely!

Thanks very much for your comments. It is true the terrace is just that bit cooer than the street level and that makes all the difference. We are also updating our menu now so we hope to be able to offer you more Khmer home cooking very soon.

After a relaxing afternoon massage nearby, what better way to savor the afternoon than cheap drinks on one of Siem Reap's many rooftop bars. We saw the Purple Mangosteen earlier in the day and thought we'd give it a try. Nice lemon grass mojitos at the end of a hot day. Getting to the roof might be a bit of...

Thanks for the review. It is true that over New Year it has been noisy but that is the way it is in New Year. However now things are back to normal and while the centre of town will never have the rural tranquility of a resort on the edge of town the accessibility and convenience of being in the...

Spent 3 nights here at The Purple Mangosteen Hotel with 2 other friends in the Family Room and it was great! Staff are friendly, I mean people in Siem Reap are friendly in general. We spent a lot of time hanging at the few tables right outside the hotel. Though the heat can get slightly unbearable, it’s well shaded there....

Location is perfect! It is just a street away from Pub Street where all the action is. We could easily walk to all the night markets. There are lots of good restaurants and cafes around the area. As for the noise that most comments seem to mention, it was really quite ok for us. It wasn't quite blasting music, but...

Thanks for your comments. As you say the noise rather depends on what is going on in town, over Khmer New Year it has been insane but it was insane everywhere. Now things are back to normal and while you do hear the throb of the centre of town we have tried to limit it with double glazing etc which...

My wife and I were referred to this hotel from a restaurant nearby. The location is perfect. On a quiet alley that feels almost Parisian. The food at restaurant was great as well. Room was nice and clean, shower was perfect. And to be in the heart of the city, the room was quiet. The staff was very friendly and...
