I was told the day before I was set to arrive that there were massive complications to renovations and they couldn't accommodate me. It might have been nice to be told a bit earlier. I mean, even if someone broke a sewer pipe or something, I would have like more than a singular line email.

We looked this hostel up on Hostel World and it got some pretty high reviews due to its location relative to Pub Street and prices. We found that that our experience matched that of most other reviews. The Hostel itself was quite nice, the lobby had plenty of space for you to hang out and many cats to just chill... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in an en suit private double room with A/C. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and the hotel is located around a 5 minute walk from Pub St. The only downside was no matter what temperature we set the A/C to it seemed to just keep blowing out very... I honestly dont know how this place got his high ratings on hostelworld... Maybe these people havent been in the dorm room. It was the filthiest I have gotten so far in SEA. Weird stains on the sheets, walls covered in spiderwebs and fingerprints, mould everywhere on the bathroom ceiling and door, thing that was holding the telephone shower was... More

We had a private room with en suite and it was comfortable and clean. AC/WiFi worked well. We were contacted shortly after booking and arrangements were made for pick-up from the airport and this worked splendidly (complete with our names on a sign). Further arrangements were made for tour of Temple sites, which were affordable and convenient. Exact location does... More

The hotel itself is clean, with spacious rooms including; TV, WiFi and AC, and a good distance away from the main bars and restaurants (Pub Street - 5minutes walk). The nights themselves were never too noisy, but even if so, the hotel is far enough away to still have a good nights sleep. We booked this hotel in particular, because... More

Nice, large, clean and quiet room. Soft mattrasses too. We had a good night sleep after a long bus trip. The hotel provides a mattress cover, soft pillows and a thin blanket. We brought our own sheets to complement this (mostly because we like to sleep using cotton). Check out time is 11 am, but when we asked it was... More

Overall we had an excellent experience staying at this hostel. The rooms are basic with a 'no frills' approach but they are clean and very spacious (which is a nice change!). It was always quiet at night which made for an excellent sleep. The hostel itself is around a 5-10 min walk from the main strip (pub street, markets etc)... More

Brian (manager) was a great guy. The hotel location is fair (only a 10 min walk to the Pub Street, etc), the rooms are very large, but no frills. The bed linens and pillows seemed quite tired/worn for a non-hostel accommodation. The tuk tuk driver Mr Sarin was the sweetest guy ever. So nice, so humble. Please treat that guy... More

Brian the owner was cool and helpful but the location is poor next to a smelly sewage with rats running next to it at night, cleaning in the room and bathroom was poor or non - existent, no blankets or sheets or similar, just a decorative bed cover we were supposed to use as bed, no breakfast, according to booking.com...
