Really nice. It was great value and in a very convenient location. Not far from the old market our the main social areas. The staff and the pool are what really make it. They are extremely helpful and the swimming pool is top notch. The breakfast was also really good and set you well up for the Day.
Great time at Mane Family, beautiful garden, very kind team dedicated to customers, always ready to please and help us for any details. Massages are very good. Ideal for a trip in family. Definitely I would recommend it.
We stayed here three nights and were happy enough with the service. The room was quite large and had a fridge and good air con. We also had a private little balcony which was a lovely place to chill after a busy and hot day. The bed was ok, pillows were a bit lumpy and the towels were very thin. The shower was also a bathtub, which can be a little dangerous as there were not slip-free mats provided. The main issue with the bathroom was the shower curtain. There was a lot of mould on the bottom part. The surrounds were lovely. They had a very nice restaurant and offered a free breakfast, which was wonderful! There are also a few cats that roam the grounds, they only want you for your food and are not interested in becoming your friend. Also, watch out for the mosquitoes as they are nasty in these parts. There were many restaurants and nice cafes not far from the hotel. There was also a small shop at the end of the road that sold basics. The shop lady is an older Khmer lady and is wonderful! She was most pleased when we said no to a plastic bag and taught us how to say 'Thank you" in Khmer. The staff were very kind and tried their best to keep their guests happy. Overall, I would say for approx $30 AUD a night, this is what you could expect. It is a nice hotel but with a bit more maintenance and care, it could be excellent!…
Booked for 4 nights but left after 1. Construction debris, noise and dirt made use of the pool impossible. Don't know why they are building something new when the rest of the place is so rundown. Broken pool chairs, peeling paint, no staff. Impossible to get even so much as a beer without having to chase someone down. Place needs a complete makeover. Much nicer places in the same area for similar prices. Give this place a pass.
The hotel was very clean with very friendly and helpful hosts, the grounds were tidy even with some extensions under construction. The pool is a fantastic way to cool off and relax in nice tropical surroundings. Breakfast is very good with 4 different sets. The staff booked tours and transportation. Our rooms was spacious with good AC and cable. We even had a bath. Would recommend and I would stay again. We had a late flight on last day and we staff arranged for a late check out which was great and allowed us to make the most of our final day.
We stayed at this hotel for just one night and it was ok. What made this hotel good was the pool area. There were an outside bed, sun beds and hannucks you could enjoy. We checked out early in the morning to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat. After we visited the temples we headed back and could use our hotel rooms and pool for a bare minumum of money.
I stayed here with my parents. Nice place, pool was great, room smelt a little musty but we just opened the windows for a bit. No issues. The staff were great and helpful in booking a trip to Angkor Watt
The Cockatoo Resort is a nice little hotel. I like it the time when i entered, with their lovely logo, the little houses, and the floor with leaves patterns. The room is also spacious and clean. The staff there are so kind, helpful and flexible, especially Ms. Sreynich whom has been very helpful before and during our stay. It is also a convenient place with quite a lot of eatery places nearby, very close to the city, and not far from the historical sites and the airport. The breakfast included are filling and good. It would be nice though to have some choices in the menu.
I recommend this hotel to you for the following reasons. There are kind staff who can speak Japanese and English. They recommend some sightseeing spots around the hotel. Breakfast is very delicious! Many fruits, vegetable soup, omelet, fresh bread. The room is very clean. You can use their swimming pool. Thank you for good times during my trip in Cambodia!
This was a lovely place that my husband and I stayed at during our honeymoon trip to Cambodia. The hotel manager ensured our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed, We arrived 5 hours late due to our flight being delayed but our tuk-tuk pick up arranged by the hotel was still there waiting. I don't know any hotels who would have done this. It is a short walk from Pub Street with a great spa en-route and laundry services. Our room was a decent size for a double and kept really clean each day.
