We had just come from Victoria Falls Hotel and Menoakwena camp both of which had incredible service so we were a bit disappointed here in comparison.
However the location is good and I liked the grounds with bushbuck, warthog and mongoose. Though no clear view...More

We had a chalet for two nights. There was a nice weiv over Chobe river. The food was okay and among the best during a our journey. The resturant had an excellent river setting close to the river. Service was efficient and good.
We camped 2 nights at the Kubu Lodge. The campsites are approximately 200 meters from the reception and lodge area. The area is very quite and safe at night (security guards) and the ablution blocks are kept very clean. The staff is extremely welcoming and...More

Hi Wendy. I presume you want to stay here to visit Chobe NP. I found Chobe a bit disappointing as it was so busy - had a few good animal sights, mainly on the river cruise - but too many boats and vehicles on the land tour (morning). Mind you, some of our group did the evening land tour and there weren't many people and they had some good sightings. We stayed two nights and that was plenty.
I haven't been to Moremi or Savuti but did visit Kruger, Etosha and Makgadigadi on my recent trip and enjoyed these much more than Chobe.
Re the accommodation, we stayed in a lodge at Kubu for one night rather than camping (just a stopover on our way back from Maun and the Makgadigadi Pans which were fantastic - both salt pans and NP are highly recommended). There were some tours organised from here but we didn't do any as we were returning to the area in a few days with a safari group and stayed closer to the NP at Chobe Safari Lodge - there is camping there right by the river which looked quite nice.
