We stayed one night in this hotel as part of a 1 week safari package in Botswana. We really enjoyed the fantastic location right by the river. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly. However, the restaurant and breakfast were so so.

As we drove down to the Old House after 3 days in the splendor of an up-market game lodge we were prepared for a radical change (for the worse) in terms of atmosphere, comfort and service – but nothing could have been further from the truth. This delightful little guesthouse on the hippo-infested banks of the river Chobe is only...

We stayed here for one night before our camping safari in the Delta began. Our room was charming, stylish and the house was so quaint and peaceful. We enjoyed our room, they had wifi, and a lovely location on the river. We took the river cruise in the evening and enjoyed wonderful animal sightings and an amazing sunset on the...

En route to the Moremi Game Reserve we spent a delightful two nights here, sleeping in The Loft, which I can recommend because it's quiet and the room is spacious. The things we loved the most were the easy access to the river - we watched two spectacular sunsets from the banks of the Chobe - the friendly, happy staff,...

Wonderful place, by the river, you can walk down, past the sometimes roaming warthogs to their boats on the river. Rooms are nicely decorated and very comfortable, with a refrigerator, charming entrances with vegetation. Eating pavilion is also nice, with tv for sports and news, and the food is quite good. I would definitely stay again if coming to this...

This is a small friendly family run business with amazing staff who make your holiday. We were travelling with 2 teens who wanted their own space so we had 2 rooms that backed onto each other with a double and a twin. Whilst the rooms are quite small they are perfectly adequate and come equipped with fridge, kettle and tea...

We did not stay at the Old House, but we ate there. We were staying at a fancy hotel down the road, which was quite nice, except the meals were terrible. A friend of ours from Gaborone told us to try The Old House and it was great. We ate there 2 evenings in a row. The staff were kind...

The Old House is a fairly compact establishment, with around 10 rooms, which are fairly small, but offers a good restaurant, very friendly staff and good facilities. The river cruise that we arranged with the lodge was a highlight of our trip. The property extends right to the river bank, but does not overlook the river directly; it is accessed...

The hotel was full when we visited. The room was simple but had everything we needed. The hotel is situated very close to the banks of the Chobe River and a short walk down a path past the pool gets you to the river edge. The restaurant is open air and set in a sheltered spot in front of the...
