This small hotel located on US 23 north on the north side of Alpena is a real gem. Absolutely spotless and neat and clean. To my discredit, I can be a perfectionist. I noticed this hotel, although apparently built in the '60's or '70's, is exceptionally well maintained. The joints of the panelling, the caulking around the tub, the hanging...

I was referred to the Dew Drop from a friend who always stays here while in Alpena. I tend to dislike the chain motels and prefer the family owned ones. The Dew Drop did not disappoint. I think there are 13 rooms-so it is a small place. Upon check-in, I told the owner that there was one more adult with...

Another nice stay with friendly check-in and a comfortable room. The owner even comped an upgrade to give us more elbow room since it was a slower weekend. This is our favorite place to stay in Alpena because it's comfy, clean, and won't break the bank.

I'd recommend this place all day long. I travel all over Michigan and have around 15 locally owned "old-style" motels that I stay in on a regular basis, and this place is most definitely on the list. I love these little motels and try to support them as much as possible. They're a dying breed. Think of it this way,...

We travel to the area often to visit family and find the Dew Drop a great value, and much cleaner than the chain hotels in town--at about half the price. The decor is a bit dated, but it's clean and comfortable and the owners are very friendly. This is on our short list, and I'm sure we'll be visiting again...

This motel has become our home away from home. The rooms are not real big but they are spotless, have wonderful beds and bedding. The prices are so reasonable. The location is out of town a bit but if you want quiet this is the place to stay.

I was surprised to find the Dew Drop Inn listed under B&B and Inns on Trip Advisor. It is a locally owned motel which is exactly what we were looking for. It is very clean, comfortable, quiet, inexpensive, and has the basic amenities that one wants on the road. It has exterior doors to the parking lot with chairs outside...

I love the Dew Drop Inn! The rooms are quaint but very adequate and very clean. The beds are comfy and the wifi was fast. Owners are friendly and the area was very quiet. It's on the main drag north of town, within a quick little drive to town for food and activities. Do drop in at the Dew Drop...

My husband and I spent 3 nights here on a week end get away.We loved it. The beds were comfy and the rooms were spic n span. The hotel is convenient to everything but away from town. The owner was very helpful and showed us several rooms and let us pick the one we wanted. It was the week end...

This hotel is located away from town center. As we continue on our budget trip, we sometimes get stuck and just take what's nearest when we do not want to drive further. This motel, an older block building of only a few rooms was very clean, but older decor with zero charm. The shower and bath were refurbished. There was...
