I must say the Savoy rescued me in a pinch. I missed my connection in Dubai and the Savoy was the cheapest yet still well-recommended selection. It was easy to get to by Metro. If you don't want to walk the final 10 minutes from the Metro stop you can take a cab, I guess. I only stayed one night but it's a great set-up for several nights because it comes with a kitchenette and washing machine. Staff very friendly and helpful. I had an issue with the key card not working and they sent up a staffer to help me and even a locksmith to fix it. Take note you have to turn on the electric water heater for 20 minutes before showering - I am used to having a solar heater. From the hotel I was able to walk to Dubai Creek and the museum. The area is full of Indian stores, including all-vegetarian restaurants, which is great if you are vegetarian or vegan. So, it served my needs perfectly.

Room will kept in hygiene cleaning. In Covid situation they taking good precaution to serve the guests. Staff also had very good attitude. in reception what ever information you will get immediately. Any out guest not allowing to rooms it is good for all other guests

The 42m room is a great size for two people. More would be a bit tight with luggage. Kitchen with cook top, microwave, washing machine and full fridge and freezer is great for longer stays. A dryer would have been a bonus but if you get a balcony room you can hang clothes and they would dry quickly.

Let me start by saying that this hotel really does not care about their customers.I spoke to their rep for a one month stay and requested that I would like to pay by every ten days to which he agreed (no names needed). On my arrival their lady Manager who has probably the most rude and condescending attitude i have ever experienced. (Saying this as I was staying at Movenpick Karama for 9 days prior to moving here which by the way i have already rated as a perfect score). After a long discussion which she wasn't even listening to and just going on and on. I paid for 10 days with the condition I have to pay entire rest amount after.Went up to the room it was smelling like dead rat ,no twin beds, no balcony and guess what the window view is an old burial ground . So i called the operator , and asked can I have a twin bed room answer no, can I have a room with balcony answer no, can i get a different room answer no. I swear i didnot even stay in the room for 15 mins came down and said charge me for the day and refund my money. Answer sir u have to wait our great manager is busy. Wow it felt like she is the customer and i am the hotelier ,so bad. In the end they charged me almost double for the night ( and i did not even stay for 15 mins) and returned rest of my money . No apology given to me what so ever. Manager did not even come n ask me after to ask what went wrong. And by the way this all happened when i just came back from burying a dear family member a day prior so you can imagine the emotional roller coaster your incompetent manager put me through. Very bad very very bad.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your candid comments. Firstly, our heartfelt condolences. May the soul of the departed rest in peace. I have personally investigated your complaint and interactions with all the staff members. We respectfully disagree with your comments and would like to take this opportunity to clarify the facts of the matter. Your booking was made by your colleague / friend on your behalf on a monthly basis. Our monthly bookings have a lower rate structure and are on non-refundable and non-modifiable basis. At the time of check-in, the hotel collects the full amount for the month. You only wanted to pay for the first 10 days and then decide if some other colleague would replace you in the same apartment. Our Resident Manager personally spoke to you that this would not be possible as the lead name registered at the time of check-in cannot be changed later as the Tourism Dirham (TD) fee would apply for every new lead check-in guest. As an exception, the Resident Manager agreed that you could pay for 10 days at check-in and arrange the balance funds for the rest of your stay later in the same week. Rooms to our guest are allocated on the day of arrival. You were allocated a large Studio room with a king-size bed. You later informed us that you wish to have a twin bedded room with a balcony. All guest room requests are subject to availability and unfortunately on that day, we were totally sold-out. Our Manager informed you that later in the day, we were expecting a twin bedded room to check-out and the same would be allocated to you later in the night after a complete disinfection process and safety inspection is carried out. It is very unfortunate that you could not wait any longer to be allocated the room of your preference which was informed to us only at the last minute. The hotel has charged you a one-night cancellation charge on a daily stay basis as the room would now have to be completely disinfected and kept vacant for a minimum 8 hours as we strictly follow the COVID safety measures at the hotel. All staff members at Savoy Central have an excellent customer relationship score and we regret that we could not meet your personal requirements and expectations. We also regret if you have perceived any staff member to be rude which was definitely not the case or intention. At the Savoy, we take every criticism and complaint as a challenge to improve. We look forward to welcome you in any of the 4 Savoy Hotels in Dubai. Please do let us know in advance of any special preferences and we will try our best to meet them subject to availability.
