Was it the dramatic location in downtown with stunning views of Burj Khalifa? Was it the incredible lounge experience at the Horizon Club with impeccable food and beverage offerings? Was it the restful pool area surrounded by amazing skyscrapers? Was it the tastefully furnished and oh-so comfortable and spacious guest room that was so well appointed I never wanted to leave it? I think it was a combination of all of these things that made this my best hotel stay in 50 years of travel. I stayed for 9 nights, so I really got a feel for this property and its extraordinary operation. Even with 700+ rooms filled with other guests, the staff got to know my name, welcoming me back at the end of each day, making me feel looked after and important. The icing on the cake was the personal touch offered by my turndown attendant, a humble young Nepalese man named Jitendra. I will never forget him. Upon discovering I am diabetic, noticing my insulin in the fridge, he took it upon himself (without my asking) to leave a few extra bottles of water at turndown each night, along with a crystal vase of 3 fresh, long stemmed roses and kind, handwritten note. His outrageously kind and proactive gesture touched my soul. A hotel can be beautifully designed and elegantly appointed, which Shangri-La Dubai is in spades, but in the end, its the human beings on staff that really make the magic happen, and that's unquestionably the best aspect of this property. Khodarahm was a very friendly face to meet upon our arrival. All the other staff here always had a smile on their faces and were eagar to help no matter what! It’s a very clean atmosphere and the food was delicious.
Khodarahm was very kind and friendly and helped us with everything. Top Service! He helpt us get a taxi every time we needed one and he helpt us with the bags. He also held the umberella and was in a very good mood everyday! It was fantastic!

First time we’ve stayed at a Shangri-La hotel & this won’t be our last . From the minute our car pulled up at the entrance till the time we were ready to leave the service was incredible From the doorman to the guys doing our rooms everyone was smiling & happy to help where ever they could The room we stayed in was fantastic . What a view from the 41st floor over looking the bay Very clean & large comfortable bed Bathroom clean & large The restaurants were fantastic & food great . Had dinner at the Dunes restaurant where they had Italian night ( buffet ) Magnificent food & such a large range to choose from My wife joined the Horizon club before we booked & definitely worth doing Breakfast on the 41st floor was good , afternoon tea from 2pm -4pm & happy hour from 5:30-7:30 all included . The views from the restaurant area were absolutely fantastic What a great experience for my wife & i . Wanted somewhere nice to stay & rest after our tours through Egypt & Jordan & before flying home We’ll worth the money we paid We are looking at staying at other Shangri - La hotels in the future Thanks to all the team at The Shangri-La fro making our stay a memorable one…
I recently stayed at this hotel in January 2023 and I have to say, it was an absolutely amazing experience. I give it a full 5 out of 5 stars. The housekeeping service was top-notch and I have to give a special shoutout to Kelum, who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. The room was always spotless and the attention to detail was fantastic. On top of that, the view from my room was breathtaking. Overall, it was a truly wonderful stay and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
I booked two nights in Shangri-La because I had a very good experience for this brand in China. Well, I think it did not meet my expectation. The lobby is very small and when you enter it, it doesn't seem like a luxury hotel. My room was ok but a little bit small but my friend's room has some problems with the safe box and Furnitures. They said that they renovated the hotel but honestly it seems a little old. The breakfast was good but I expected more from this brand. Considering the higher price than the other five-star hotel I was there in Dubai, this hotel won't my choice for next trips.

It was perfect. All the worker, special Khodaram was so kindly and friendly. He is sooo helpfull! All the food, service, pool, cleaning and chrckin and out just perfect. We will come back soon. Greetings from Switzerland.
