When I was looking for a hotel online I searched for days and days to find what would be the best place to stay , based on value and location and quality of the hotel , I wasn’t sure what to expect from this hotel as the price seemed very cheap for the two weeks stay .
I arrived at the hotel and first impressions were good , the room was big it was clean and it was new ! , you couldn’t fault anything , it even had modern light switch controls by the touch of a button . The walls were spotless looked as if nobody had ever stayed in my room . Everything you could possibly need was in the room , including wardrobes and fridge and ironing board and coffee making facilities.
The location was a nice residential area , quiet and accessible by taxi to anywhere you need to be in 20 mins or so for a small fee . Personally the location was good for me as it felt like living in your own apartment rather than a hotel .
The hotel offers a selection of restaurants and bars and has a very pleasant swimming pool area, as well as other facilities too , they organised a lot of excursions for me from the concierge that were all very good value and enjoyable experiences.
For the entire duration of my stay the room was silent , and no noise from other guests , I’ve stayed in places which are 10 times the price that don’t have this level of comfort .
They even offer a free day pass to a beach club on the palm , and a free bus to get there ! .
Completely free !
The value here is unbelievable, back in England you wouldn’t get anything at this price of around 65 pound per night , it’s so affordable and luxury too ! , my advice to anyone is to stay at this hotel and go enjoy Dubai . If you want a beach there is plenty in Dubai to go to .

We are travelling to Dubai since 2003 and this piece of sand has changed drastically over the last years. Therefore First Collection at JVC provides a perfect location to all major parts of the city (Marina, Palm, Jumeirah Beach, Downtown, Bur Dubai, etc...). However you will stuck in traffic as the city is basically to full meanwhile unfortunately. When we travelled to Dubai the first time not even 1 Mio citizens lived there and only a few tourists came to visit. Nowadays the UAE counts more than 9 Mio citizens and over 4 Mio tourists come to experience Dubai per year and its attractions. JVC is a fully new built neighborhood which still consists of a number of severe contructions also around this hotel. We could hardly use the pool due to the construction noise, which maybe explains the good price we got at our booking. The Half Board option is really superb as you can dine all over Dubai, and test new restaurants on a daily basis including Asian, Arab, Greek and Italian food. The hotel also offers free entry to Soluna beach club on the Palm, which also a great add-on. We had a fantastic Sky Corner Suite (Upgrade!), which felt like sleeping in heaven. The staff, especially the waiters at the pool bar/ breakfast is super-friendly. We enjoyed every minute with them. This being said, First Collection JVC provides a very good price/ value ratio, if you do not plan to spent most of your holiday at the pool.

This was our 3rd stay at First collection, with a couple of day visits also when visiting JVC.
You can't fault this hotel. The staff are welcoming and friendly, always remembering your last visit.
All pool staff, life guards and bar staff made the days by the pool great for all of us, especially the children.
Rooms were immaculate and cleaned to a great standard.
Breakfast offered a variety of fresh foods from around the world.
The pool area and bar had a great atmosphere especially in the evening as the pool didn't shut until 9. 00pm. Food at the bar was great this year.
Everyone, including management are so eager to help you and wish you a good day. Nothing is too much.
I visit JVC 3 times a year, I just wish I could afford First Collection everytime.

The receptionist Kamal was friendly and helpful.
The room facilities were available only by request which was a bit odd e.g.
1. The fridge was empty no juices or soft drinks of any kind or mixed nuts.
