Location
The location is excellent, with stunning views of Business Bay, and just a 10-minute walk from the Dubai Mall, the Burj Khalifa, and its magnificent gardens. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops, making it easy to explore the area. For those who prefer transportation, the hotel provides free shuttles at convenient times (around 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM) to Dubai Mall and a beach, with return trips at 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM, which is a very practical service.
Rooms
The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and decorated in a modern and cozy style. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the windows offered a unique view of Business Bay. The shower was excellent, adding to the overall experience. However, the soundproofing could be improved, as I could hear traffic noise and construction from outside (a common occurrence in this constantly growing city).
Services
The hotel offers a good variety of services, including a relaxing spa and a well-equipped pool. These features help create a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Dining
Breakfast was one of the highlights of the stay, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, including fruits, bread, and hot dishes to suit all tastes. However, since my booking included a half-board option, I expected a service more in line with the hotel’s five-star standard, or at least a more diverse buffet. Instead, there were only two menus, and the one available for half-board guests was quite limited, featuring items like burgers, pizzas, fish and chips, as well as a few salads and pasta dishes. The quality of the dishes was disappointing, though the fruit was fresh and tasty.
It’s worth noting that alcoholic beverages are charged separately, which is common in many restaurants in Dubai.
Service
The staff was generally attentive and helpful. However, there was a noticeable lack of consistency in their approach. At check-in, we were told that, as half-board guests, we would have access to the special New Year’s Eve dinner, valued at around 750 AED, as a complimentary service. However, this information was not confirmed later. During breakfast the next morning, three different staff members approached us with varying offers (discounts ranging from 30% to 60%) for the same dinner. This caused confusion and left the impression of poor organization, which is not expected from a hotel of this standard.
Conclusion
I recommend Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown for those seeking a comfortable and relaxing stay with exceptional views, close to Dubai’s most iconic attractions and shopping destinations. Despite a few details that could be improved, such as consistency in service and the dining experience for half-board guests, the hotel offers a great balance of comfort and location
The staff were helpful and nice and had solutions for all our problems.
The breakfast was great - lots of choices (including make your own granola station), well stocked and attentive staff. Coffee was really good too.
Swimming pool was great and just what we needed in the hot weather.
Location was superb - 5-10 mins drive to Dubai Mall or 20 mins easy walk (the traffic is so bad that we did the walk a few times and the location of the hotel made this so easy.
Rooms were cool and trendy and bed was good. Cot provided was both comfy and large for our toddler son.
The best bits were the little touches - the children's play area was a great addition and our son loved it so much. Allowing us to keep our luggage with the concierge for 8 hours, allowing us to use the pool and change rooms even after we checked out (we had a night time flight) and allowing us to check-in after midnight.
Overall great place to stay - very close to the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall - without breaking the bank.
Look forward to our next stay.

The design was unique and interesting, especially in the room, which added to the hotel's charm. Service was excellent—the staff were friendly, helpful, and full of goodwill. A special thanks to Adele, who was exceptionally kind and even checked in on my Amazon delivery the next day to make sure everything went smoothly.
The breakfast was high-quality and varied, though the service at the omelet and coffee stations was a bit slow. The pool area was a highlight—not too big, but great for a refreshing swim while enjoying the skyline.
Location-wise, while the hotel is centrally marked on the map, it’s slightly on the edge of the main area. However, in Dubai, a car is a must anyway, and the hotel's parking is excellent.
The price is on the higher side, but booking in advance got me a great deal on an upgraded room with a top-notch view. If you're planning a trip to Dubai, hotels and rental cars should always be booked well in advance.
Would I return? Definitely—Indigo will be on my list for my next visit.
At breakfast we were well taken care of by Mehedi and Lisha, where we got freshly brewed coffee every morning from the barista. The pool is nice with good beds and nice air conditioning if you want to eat on the terrace. We were very friendly served by Ayustin and Alberian, who always came to chat and asked if everything was satisfactory.
What we also really liked is that cleaning the room is possible until 6 pm, so if you were in the room a little longer they came back later. We could enjoy a wonderfully clean room every day (thanks Gusti!).
We ate at the hotel several times in the evenings also - the food is freshly made to order and pricing very reasonable for Dubai, especially the Seafood night which was amazing and great fun. We were looked after day and night by so many great people, including Angel & Mehedi.
We stayed in a king corner room with amazing sweeping city views, especially in the evening. The rooms are immaculate and Vikash and his colleagues ensure we had no issues throughout the entire stay.
The hotel is very central in Downtown Dubai, only 15 mins walk to the Burj Khalifa, Fountains, Dubai Mall (trip in Jan/Feb gave perfect weather for walking, or 5 mins in a cab). We also used the daily minibus to get to the beach which was very handy (via Dubai Mall).
A great stay, lots of great little touches, like an ice cream van on the driveway, various outdoor spaces to sit, pool with views. Highly recommend Indigo Dubai, the level of service and facilities, for the money, in this location, is very hard to beat.

Room has multi plug and usb charging. There is an in room safe but it is top opening, suited to document or iPad tablet, I couldn't fit my dslr camera inside.
Comfortable bed with control of electric curtains. The rainfall shower was a delight and our room had nice travel related decor.
Breakfast has a good selection of western and Asian dishes but it does get busy and service for coffee and tea seems laboured. Location was fine for downtown, although we only used Uber to get around. We were only in town for few days and we didn't use all the hotel amenities, but I'd return again if my travels take me back to Dubai.
