Villa Senesouk is in a great location, towards the end of the peninsula and within walking distance to most sights. The staff is helpful and the rooms are clean. The four star rating is for the 2nd room in which we stayed, which was at the back of the hotel. Our first room was on the ground floor in the...

The location is great. To avoid the street noise, in particular in the morning with the monk procession, we got first floor rooms in the back building. This is a nice traditional architecture place but the walls are paper thin meaning the quietness depends on your neighbours ... Internet disappeared sometimes in that building, much less so in the reception...

Pros: - great location. easy walking distance (5-10 min.) to most of the sites (Mount Phusi, National Museum, several wats, Mekong, etc.), restaurants, and the Night Market. - the building itself is charming and the look of the rooms is nice. Cons: - extremely rude staff. you cannot get a smile or a good morning out of any of the...

This hotel in the old town provides good basic accommodation. Point form of our experience: *We showered in 2 inches of water because the drain didn't work *4 of the rooms (including ours) are within 12ft of reception (very noisy) *Despite liking a firm mattress, I have never slept on a bed so hard.... It felt like 3 ply with...

We found Villa Senesouk to be very clean and generally quiet (almost no traffic noise), and in great location. The only noise to speak of was that related to nearby temple ceremonies that on some nights took place in the very, very early morning (3-4AM), but that we took as an interesting disruption to our sleep rather than a nuisance....

The Villa is very charming and the staff try do everything to help out where they can in giving directions or organizing taxis and cars (English is limited though but understandable as not first language) The rooms are well maintained and polished...

We stayed two nights at the building on the main road. Clean, quiet, beautiful rooms. Price was great for what you got. We made a reservation for 1 night a couple days later because we headed north. When we got back into town they lost our reservation moved us to a different building, same price but not as nice, we...

Beautiful place to stay just across Wat Sene, where you can watch morning alms. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a charming Lao style. The bed is hard but that is typical for Laos. It's an easy walk around the old town so makes for a nice base.

Good location as it is in the middle of the Old Quarter, just outside the temples. It has a great view of the early morning alms-giving, get a room on the second floor with a view of the rood if you just want to watch from afar. The room is alright, clean but the toilet and bathroom could use a...

Magical place to stay within a wondrous town. Get here before the Western world taints it with modern corporate stuff that is not needed here. You'll be woken early every day by the call to prayer for the monks but I heartily recommend experiencing this on at least one occasion. Explore and eat at the seemingly ramshackle food places on...
