We booked this guesthouse based on Tripadvisor ratings. I am often a bit dubious when the majority of reviewers have only reviewed the one property...but we thought we'd give it a chance. We stayed in 2 rooms - one at the back, which was nicely decorated, but very small, and one at the front which was larger. The rooms are...

Muonglao Guesthouse is so charming, my room had all the facilities I needed (air-con, TV and very clean wash room and toilet) and is perfectly located in Luang Prabang. After an excited and be boring some periods, 7 hour minibus journey up the Vang Vieng, we finally arrived at Luang Prabang and when we saw our rooms at the Muonglao...

I and my friend(2 Japanese girls) loved this guest house a lot. People who work at this guesthouse are so nice. They are very friendly and they really think about us to enjoy the stay in Luang Prabang. It's not business like at all. Secondly, the staffs here are very helpful, nice and cute also. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The sandwhich served by their small restaurant also taste nice... but...

Tharvone and the staff of Muong Lao guesthouse, Luang Prabang were by far the most accomodating and friendly that we met on our south east asian journey. Each morning we were greeted with smiles, and presented with a range of delicious breakfast options. The prices are very reasonable, seeing as the rooms are so clean and comfortable. Excellent location, and...

Wonderful time in Luang Prabang in Nov. 2007. Did not have a place to stay when I arrived. Manager was at bus station and asked me to look at his GH. It turned out to be a great location... Great view of temple from bedroom window. Very close to night market, center of town, and Mekong River. Staff, and especially...
