This place was clean, comfy and quiet. Was above a restaurant. The people that run the place were nice and I came in late a couple of times and the night staff were keen to sit and help me learn some Lao. Wouldn't recommend for solo travellers as this is not a good sociable place to meet other single travellers.

I stayed in Chansavang guesthouse for almost a week after arriving quite unexpectedly in Luang Prabang following a bicycle accident in which I broke my collar bone. So we didn't look around for the nicest hotel, we just went to Changsavang because that's where the tuktuk driver took us. But what a nice experience! Joy and here team are so...

The rooms were very cramped and there were ants everywhere! It was very loud, you could hear all outside noise as well as the noise from upstairs and surrounding rooms. There was no one at reception when we went to ask about our room and so we gave up asking. The washing came back really wet and everyone was complaining...

This place is so dirty it was almost unbearable. The room I stayed in smelt awful, the hair in the bathroom clogged the drain, the sheets were stained with who knows what and every single word could be heard from next door. I have travelled in Asian countries almost all my life and so I'm used to the general lower...

I stayed here for two months. Great price and staff are very friendly and helpful. Well located and quite quiet. They have just opened a restaurant in front with Lao food and pizza. Great prices and busy. Great fruit shakes too. Would definitely stay again. Joi and the other staff are great. Khop chai der.

So I stayed in Chansavang for a couple of days with a friend. I found myself going there thanks to the nice encounter with the manager that speaks perfect French and is super nice. Chansavang was the fourth guesthouse I saw in Luang Prabang ( I stayed a long time) , and honestly it's the best quality/ price ratio I...

Stayed for a week nearly. Not the chattiest staff but polite and will do laundry etc on request. It's laid back here, we had friends from other guesthouses visit and even come to our rooms. Free water on sight. The building is really nice and spacious and decorated nicely. A couple of chill out areas up stairs but no one...

Nice place in Luang Prabang and decent rates. Bed, shower and room were fine. The staff were friendly and accommodation too. Stayed on the ground floor in a twin room. Only negative was weak wifi in the rooms (but who needs wifi when on holiday right?) - they offer a laundry service as well, but depending on demand don't expect...

I liked this place at $10 a night ....no tv and weak internet and noisy as hell due to thin walls but the owner Joy is as sweet as they come. The desk is friendly and helpful. The maid is ....there... and the laundry sucks but ...I loved the owner.
