We only booked this place because of the promised shared balcony. However upon arriving we were placed in this tiny room no where near a balcony. After complaining the women in charge who wouldn't speak any English somehow promised we would be moved the following day to a room with the balcony. So the next day we packed up our...

I found the hotel difficult to find - I walked past it twice before realising Since at 2200 it was in darkness. The location is OK not far to walk into town. My room had no real view although I thought I had booked a river view. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Service wasn't bad but it was...

I stayed there with my boyfriend for 6 nights. The guesthouse is very nice, all built in wood. It is managed by a family, very nice people, but nobody really speaks English, so the interaction is very limited. We had a problem with our booking and spent an hour trying to communicate to solve it. It was Hotels.com fault, but...

First of all be informed that this guesthouse is not very well known by local people so that firstly we were dropped at the wrong place and then we were sent back and forth on foot, mainly because on Google Maps the guesthouse's location is not correct. After having found the place, we stayed at a well located guesthouse which...

THM is a guesthouse along the Mekong in Luang Prabang. It is cheaper than many options here despite being in a good location and overlooking the river. It is near nightmarkets and good local street food, and very close to the well-known night buffet food market. It is a little walk (<10 mins) to the downtown traveller cafes and restaurants,...

The location is definitely the best thing about this place. It's right in the centre of town on the river. We got a double ensuite room downstairs. It which was pretty basic, always cold as it didn't get the sun on it and it smelt of cigarette smoke. At $30 per night we felt it was massively over priced! We...

The place is a family run business. Nice and friendly staff. Not to expensive if you bargain for a good price. It's one the cleanest places that we have found in Laos. Near night and morning market. With a good view to the mekong river.

We arrived from Vang Vieng at wee hours in the morning. We took the sleeping bus(kinda weird ride) to Luang Prabang and we arrived at 4am and we have no idea where to go! We met an English Teacher in Vang Vieng so we kinda tag along to find a place to crash. We found this guest house and decided...

I only stayed for 1 night in a double room on the upper floor and it was perfect. Clean and spacious with enough hot water in the shower. I felt it was good value for money but what made it special was the way the owner went out of her way to help me when my driver was not showing...

Generally a good place to stay. I've been staying mostly in hostels on my travels so this place was a step up but if you're looking for luxury it's probably not for you. Location is fine. Right on the Mekong River and walking distance to all central attractions. Rooms are spacious, clean and the guest house is generally well maintained...

“The balcony looks over the road which the monks go down at 6am which is great. I all the rooms can use the balcony so you don't have to have room 999 to use it.”

“as I said we had the room facing the river which has a communal balcony ....... there are other smaller rooms for less and coffee and tea facilities are provided .... lovely people”
oldaussieman, 2 Oct 2012 | Read review
“Room 999 bigger and noisier, and no better than the cheaper back rooms as the balcony can be used by anyone. As such, we'd suggest any upper floor room is okay, and the back rooms quieter”
